What we collect, why we're allowed to, and how to make us stop.
Who we are
Jobs-in.NL is operated by Good Vibes Development, which is the data controller for everything described here. Contact: [email protected].
What we collect, and why we're allowed to
- Account data — the email address you sign up with, handled by Clerk. We need it to give you an account at all, so the legal basis is performance of our agreement with you.
- Your saved filters, favorites, and applied jobs — the core of what the product does. Also performance of our agreement.
- Notification settings — your email address and, if you link it, your Telegram chat ID, so we can send the digests you asked for. You can withdraw this at any time by unsubscribing or unlinking.
- Product analytics — cookieless usage measurement (PostHog) so we know what to improve. While you're signed out this is aggregate and not tied to you. Once you sign in, we send your email address and name to PostHog so your usage can be linked to your account — for example so we can see how a signed-in feature is actually used, not just that some anonymous visitor used it. Our legitimate interest in understanding how the service is used. You can object at any time.
- Server logs — kept briefly for security and abuse prevention. Legitimate interest.
What we don't collect
We don't ask for your CV, your government ID, or your bank details. We collect no payment data at all — Jobs-in.NL is free and we operate no payment flow.
Payments, historically
Until July 2026 we offered paid plans. Payments were processed by Stripe and your card details were never visible to us. Any leftover Stripe customer record from that period is deleted along with the account it belongs to.
Who processes data for us
- Clerk — authentication and login. Hosted in the EU.
- Supabase — our database. Hosted in the EU (Frankfurt).
- Railway — application hosting. Hosted in the EU (Eemshaven, Netherlands).
- Resend — sends transactional and digest email. It processes the recipient address and the message in order to deliver it, and keeps delivery logs; we don't use those logs for anything else.
- PostHog — product analytics, on their EU cloud, reached through our own domain rather than a third-party script host.
- Telegram — only if you choose to link a Telegram account. See below.
Separately, we use Apify, Anthropic, and ScreenshotOne to collect, classify, and verify job listings. They never receive personal data about you.
Sending data outside the EU
Telegram is a deliberate exception and we'd rather say so plainly. If you link a Telegram account, your chat ID and the contents of your digests go to Telegram FZ-LLC in Dubai, outside the EEA, and there is no Standard Contractual Clauses arrangement available to us as a bot operator. The channel is entirely optional, you choose to link it, it only ever carries job listings you asked for, and you can unlink it at any time. If you'd rather your data stayed within the EEA, use email digests instead — that's the default.
How long we keep it
Until you delete your account. When you do, we immediately delete your job alerts, saved filters, favorites, applied jobs, settings, notification history, channel-linking history, onboarding email records, and subscription record — along with any leftover Stripe customer record. Nothing is retained for later.
Your rights
Under EU GDPR you can ask us for a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or receive it in a portable form. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Email [email protected] and we'll respond within 30 days.
You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority. In the Netherlands that's the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
Automated decisions
We don't make automated decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects. Matching is filter-based — your filters, your results. We do use AI to classify and enrich job listings, never to evaluate people.
Cookies
Only the cookies needed to keep you signed in. There is no analytics cookie: our usage measurement is cookieless and stores nothing on your device. No cross-site tracking, no advertising cookies, and no consent banner — because there's nothing non-essential to consent to.
Children
Jobs-in.NL isn't intended for anyone under 16.
Changes
If we change how we handle your data, we'll update this page and tell you by email when the change is material.
