What You Will Do
Execute Underground Utility Projects with Precision
- Lay out and install piping systems based on blueprints and specifications.
- Measure, cut, and assemble PVC, HDPE, and ductile iron pipe.
- Align and install pipe systems for water, sewer, and storm drainage.
- Conduct hydrostatic and air pressure tests to ensure system integrity.
- Operate specialized tools including lasers, tampers, saws, and trench boxes.
- Backfill, grade, and compact trenches following installation.
Support Field Excellence
- Collaborate closely with equipment operators and site supervisors.
- Document completed work and report field updates or discrepancies.
- Ensure strict adherence to OSHA standards and Alpha safety protocols.
Lead and Mentor
- Provide on-site guidance to junior laborers and promote a culture of safety and pride.
- Demonstrate professionalism, efficiency, and high-quality workmanship.
What you bring
- 3+ years of experience in civil construction, specifically pipe fitting and underground utilities.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and project layouts.
- Expertise in trench safety, system installation, and pressure testing.
- Physical capability to lift up to 100 lbs and work in tight and outdoor environments.
- Strong communication and leadership skills with attention to safety and detail.
