Job Description

Chief Product Officer Based in London, Amsterdam or Dubai · Full-time The Chief Product Officer (CPO) owns the portfolio that keeps UGG the frontrunner in global fitness: what we offer our members in club, classes, equipment, platforms and what comes next. You carry P&L responsibility for product performance, propose what we bring in next, and make it land in the clubs. How we work is simple: we care, we do, we energise and we challenge. We care about our members and each other, we get things done rather than debate them, we bring energy to everything we build, and we challenge each other, and the market, to be better. Execution is what counts. Key responsibilities This is a new role. Responsibilities currently held across other functions will transfer to it over the first year. Portfolio & proposition Own the product portfolio including classes, boutique-in-gym, gym floor, personal training and services across all brands: define what each brand offers, where the propositions are distinct and where we can leverage scale. Develop and launch new offerings: class, boutique-in-gym, wellness and recovery concepts Optimise the existing portfolio: rationalise what underperforms and scale what works. Own and continuously improve the product review process. Own the full product lifecycle from concept through club rollout to performance review, create and execute the roadmap. Digitise our concepts: bring training and class formats into the app and digital channels. Execution & leadership Build, lead and develop the product function; set the standard for pace and ownership. Your team consists of creatives, product and studio management, personal training management, equipment project managers and admin support. Get things live: work hand in hand with Operations, Marketing, Finance and the brand teams to land changes in the clubs, not just on paper. Own the product P&L impact, track performance, ROI and member response, and act on what the numbers say. Act as a sparring partner to the CEO and the leadership team on where the group takes its proposition next. Work regularly with our founders on performance and new ideas. Staying the frontrunner Be visibly on top of the market: global fitness and wellness trends, new formats, technology, competitor moves and what is coming out internationally. Translate trends into concrete decisions for UGG, fast, and ahead of the competition rather than in response to it. Bring your network into the business as a pipeline of ideas, partnerships and first-mover opportunities. Own the relationships with manufacturers and service partners and use them to get first access to new kit and innovations. What you bring Must-haves 12+ years' progressive experience in product, concept development or commercial leadership, with a track record at executive level. Substantial experience in the fitness, wellness, health or sports industry, you know this market from the inside. Proven track record of successfully creating, developing and launching products, services or concepts at scale, in a multi-site environment. Demonstrable proactivity: concrete examples of things that exist today because you drove them, end to end. A strong, active industry network across operators, suppliers and concept owners. Strong financial and commercial acumen, you can defend a portfolio decision based on sound numbers. Experience building and leading multi-disciplined teams. Proven success applying AI in a product or commercial context, accelerating research, analysis or workflows with measurable impact. Creative and trend-driven: genuinely curious and always ahead, you know what is coming before it lands in our markets. What success looks like (first 12 months) A clear, agreed product and equipment strategy per brand and the first wave of portfolio decisions already implemented in the clubs. Ownership of the product P&L, with an agreed contribution to group EBITDA delivered. New offering or concept launched and measurably performing. Clear and impactful reporting and stakeholder management. A working trend and innovation rhythm in place, with UGG first to market on something the competition follows. About Urban Gym Group Urban Gym Group (UGG) is one of the fastest-growing premium fitness groups, operating 70+ clubs and studios across the Netherlands, UK, Dublin and Dubai through distinctive brands including TrainMore, Gymbox, Clubsportive, The CLB, RUSH, PILAT3S, TRIB3 and ARKHE. We grow both organically and through acquisitions.

Core Responsibilities

Own and develop the product portfolio and roadmap across UGG’s brands, including fitness classes, equipment, services, and digital offerings, while managing product performance and P&L impact. Build and lead the product function, deliver new concepts in clubs, and use market trends, partnerships, and performance data to guide the group’s proposition.

Requirements

Requires 12+ years of progressive product, concept development, or commercial leadership experience, including executive-level experience and substantial knowledge of the fitness, wellness, health, or sports industry. Candidates must have a record of launching concepts at scale, leading multidisciplinary teams, applying AI with measurable impact, and demonstrating strong commercial judgment and an active industry network.
