Your role as Business Controller For this diverse role, we are looking for a talented and energetic candidate who is ready to grow together with Last Mile Solutions. As a Business Controller, you have a feel for the business and an affinity with data management. You will be keeping the overview and will be able to tell the story behind the numbers, keeping in mind the progress of company goals. You will have a focus on the financial planning & analysis discipline and take control of financial business processes. You take responsibility for providing, further developing and optimizing periodic financial and non-financial management reports. In this role, you are allowed to act at different levels, you combine operational Business Controlling with thinking strategically about our growth ambitions and what is needed in terms of Finance to achieve this. Responsibilities You will proactively advise, support and monitor the various teams in the field of financial and non-financial data management Taking the lead in the annual budget cycle You will be measuring performance and identify internal and external risks and limit those Providing internal and external management reports at group level You direct and control accurate financial and non-financial information provision You act as discussion partner at senior management and board level Business Controlling for the Dutch and foreign entities Supporting the cash and foreign exchange management of the various group entities Keep a close eye on developments in the market/ industry You recognize yourself in A completed education at HBO or WO level focused on Economics or Management At least 3 years of relevant work experience as Business Controller Demonstrable experience in managing large amounts of data, financial and non-financial Next to owning numerical and analytical skills, you work accurate You are proactive with a hands-on work mentality Problem-solving and critical thinking skills Proven affinity and experience with tooling such as PowerBI or other data-analytical tooling Strategic insight and the ability to translate financial data into actionable information A genuine ambition to apply AI in your daily work (it is a plus to have if you have already experimented with generative AI or automation tools) Fluently in English Why join us? Core Responsibilities

Lead the annual budget cycle, oversee financial and non-financial data and reporting, measure performance, and identify and mitigate risks across Dutch and international entities. Advise teams and senior leaders, support cash and foreign exchange management, and translate financial information into insights that support company goals and growth.

Requirements

A degree-level education in Economics or Management and at least three years of relevant Business Controller experience are required, along with experience managing large volumes of financial and non-financial data. Candidates should have strong analytical and numerical skills, accuracy, a proactive and hands-on approach, Power BI or similar tooling experience, strategic insight, and fluent English; an ambition to use AI is also sought.
