Job Description

NGEN is building a ~10 GW battery storage pipeline across Europe, with grid connections up to 400 kV. I’m looking for an electrical design engineer to join me in Amsterdam and own the preliminary design of our 50 MW+ projects. You will: ⚡ Design SLDs, substation layouts, earthing and protection philosophies ⚡ Steer external engineering firms and review their work ⚡ Run and review grid studies and grid-code compliance (AT, DE, SI, HR, PL, LV, RO, PT) ⚡ Support FAT, SAT and commissioning on site You bring 5+ years in HV substations, BESS or renewables, IEC and grid-code know-how, and fluent English. Core Responsibilities

Lead preliminary electrical design for projects of 50 MW and above, including single-line diagrams, substation layouts, earthing, and protection philosophies. Coordinate external engineering firms, review grid studies and grid-code compliance, and support factory acceptance testing, site acceptance testing, and on-site commissioning.

Requirements

Candidates should have at least five years of experience in high-voltage substations, battery energy storage systems, or renewable energy. They should also have knowledge of IEC standards and grid codes, and be fluent in English.
