Position Overview We are currently seeking a dedicated Service Engineer to join our dynamic team in Rotterdam. This role combines technical expertise with a passion for maritime safety. Key Responsibilities Perform maintenance and testing of maritime fire-fighting systems and/or Life Saving Appliances. Conduct inspections of fire extinguishers, fire suppression systems, and detection equipment, Service and certify life-saving appliances (LSA) including life rafts, survival suits, and breathing apparatus , Lifeboat , Rescue Boat , David and similar equipment Execute pressure testing and refilling of various safety equipment Generate detailed inspection reports and certification documentation Ensure compliance with international maritime safety regulations Provide technical support and guidance to clients Required Qualifications Proven experience in maritime safety equipment maintenance Knowledge of SOLAS requirements and maritime safety regulations Strong technical background in fire safety systems Valid driving license (B) Proficient in English (written and verbal) Ability to work independently and as part of a team Willingness to work flexible hours and on-call rotations Preferred Skills Maritime or offshore industry experience Technical experience in fire safety systems , LSA Equipment Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems Experience with certification processes and MS Office applications English language proficiency We Offer Competitive salary package Comprehensive benefits including pension plan Professional development opportunities Company vehicle for service calls Stable, long-term employment Supportive team environment Continuous training programs Location Based in Rotterdam area with travel to various ports in the Netherlands and Belgium mostly . Core Responsibilities

Maintain, inspect, test, and certify maritime firefighting systems and life-saving equipment, including fire extinguishers, life rafts, survival suits, breathing apparatus, lifeboats, and rescue boats. Prepare inspection and certification documentation, ensure compliance with maritime safety regulations, and provide technical guidance to clients.

Requirements

Candidates should have proven experience maintaining maritime safety equipment, knowledge of SOLAS and maritime safety regulations, and a strong technical background in fire safety systems. A valid Category B driving license and English proficiency are required; maritime or offshore experience and knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems are preferred.
