Job Title: Senior Buyer Manufacturing & Laboratory (m/f/d) Location: Delft or Maastricht, Netherlands Excellent manufacturing performance starts long before production begins. As Senior Buyer Manufacturing & Laboratory (m/f/d), you will lead indirect procurement projects across Opex and Capex categories, delivering sourcing initiatives, supporting small to mid-sized investment projects, and creating tangible value across multiple manufacturing and laboratory sites. Your Key Responsibilities Act as the key procurement partner for Manufacturing and Laboratory sites, ensuring strong stakeholder engagement and seamless collaboration across functions. Develop and execute local and regional sourcing strategies for Indirect Manufacturing, Opex and Capex categories in close partnership with Category Managers. Lead end-to-end sourcing activities including supplier selection, tendering, negotiations, contracting and supplier management, delivering sustainable value and cost savings. Build strategic supplier partnerships that support operational excellence, innovation, sustainability and business continuity. Drive compliance, contract management, Procure-to-Pay (P2P) excellence and transparent savings reporting while continuously improving procurement processes. Facilitate structured decision-making, stakeholder alignment and effective communication, working autonomously in a dynamic environment. You bring A bachelor's degree in a technical or business-related field combined with at least 5 years of experience in Procurement, Manufacturing or a technical business environment; project management experience is an advantage. Strong communication skills in Dutch and English, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all organizational levels. Core Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end indirect procurement across manufacturing and laboratory sites, including sourcing strategies, supplier selection, tendering, negotiations, contracting, and supplier management for Opex and Capex categories. Partner with stakeholders and Category Managers to support investment projects, strengthen compliance and Procure-to-Pay processes, report savings, and deliver operational, sustainability, and business-continuity value.

Requirements

Requires a bachelor's degree in a technical or business-related field and at least five years of experience in procurement, manufacturing, or a technical business environment; project management experience is an advantage. Candidates should have strong Dutch and English communication skills, negotiation and stakeholder-management abilities, commercial acumen, strategic and continuous-improvement mindsets, resilience, and emotional intelligence.
