Support the assessment of deforestation and legality risks associated with farms, farmers and intermediaries, ensuring alignment with Volcafe’s due diligence requirements and EUDR obligations. Review supplier documentation and supporting evidence, investigating potential false-positive deforestation alerts using available geospatial tools and data sources. Assist with supplier legality assessments and compliance reviews, providing clear recommendations on approvals, rejections, appeals or further actions required. Prepare and support the submission of appeals against false-positive deforestation alerts, coordinating the collection and validation of relevant geospatial data and supporting evidence. Support suppliers in addressing documentation gaps and compliance issues identified during due diligence, coordinating corrective actions and follow-up activities. Maintain centralised records of verified farms and suppliers, ensuring accurate, accessible and up-to-date information across relevant verification and traceability systems. Establish and maintain robust documentation practices and audit-ready records, ensuring traceability of verification decisions, supporting evidence and compliance activities. Track approvals, rejections, appeals and corrective actions, providing clear visibility of verification progress, outstanding issues and required follow-up. Support the consistent application of EUDR due diligence procedures, balancing regulatory requirements with the practical realities of coffee sourcing and operations across different origins. Drive continuous improvement across EUDR processes, systems and workflows, identifying opportunities to enhance data quality, verification efficiency, documentation standards and operational effectiveness.
