Senior iOS Developer | Swift & SwiftUI Up to €125 per hour, based on a 40-hour working week Amsterdam – 3 days per week in the office, remote working otherwise 12-month contract About the Client Digital Skills are partnering with a leading global technology business that is continuing to invest in the development of its mobile platform and wider customer experience. The organisation is looking to enhance its insurance proposition within its mobile application, creating a seamless experience that allows millions of customers to discover and purchase insurance. About the Role This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior iOS Developer to join the Insurance Mobile Apps team in Amsterdam. You will play a key role in developing and enhancing the insurance experience within a widely used native iOS application, helping make it easier for millions of customers to purchase insurance. Working alongside talented UX designers, mobile developers, backend engineers, product owners and data analysts, you will contribute to the development of new features, improve application performance and help deliver a seamless customer experience. Responsibilities Develop and deliver new features for the native iOS application using Swift, working closely with other iOS developers. Collaborate with the wider Insurance Mobile Apps team to ensure a consistent and seamless experience across mobile platforms. Maintain the quality and stability of the application in production, monitoring crashes, investigating incidents and resolving complex technical issues. Take ownership of incident investigations where necessary, prioritising solutions based on customer impact. Continuously improve the performance, scalability and efficiency of the services and features you own. Ensure the insurance product and new features remain aligned with the latest technology standards and engineering guidelines. Maintain high standards of code quality through automated testing, including unit and snapshot testing. Profile applications to identify performance bottlenecks, optimise resource utilisation and monitor application health. Translate business and product objectives into effective technical solutions. Work closely with app developers, backend engineers, product owners and quality specialists to continually improve the customer experience. Desired Skills and Experience 6+ years of commercial experience developing native iOS applications using Swift. Strong knowledge and practical experience of SwiftUI. Good understanding of full-stack engineering principles and backend software concepts. Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and software engineering best practices. Experience working with A/B testing, experimentation and release planning. Extensive experience writing automated tests, particularly unit and snapshot tests. Experience working within large-scale, complex mobile applications and engineering environments. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to take ownership of technical challenges and proactively develop solutions. Self-motivated, with a genuine interest in exploring new technologies, applications and engineering practices. Desirable Experience Experience with Apple's App Approval and Distribution processes, including Ad Hoc and Enterprise Distribution. Experience developing and successfully publishing applications through the Apple App Store. Summary of the Best Candidate The ideal candidate will be an experienced Senior iOS Developer with at least six years of commercial experience and strong expertise in Swift and SwiftUI. You'll be comfortable working within large-scale mobile applications, developing new features and solving complex technical challenges while maintaining exceptional standards of performance, reliability and code quality.

Candidates should understand software engineering and backend concepts, have experience with large-scale mobile applications and experimentation, and be able to own complex technical challenges; Apple app distribution experience is desirable.
