Company: emagine Location: Netherlands Contract Type: Freelance / Contract Language: Dutch or English About the Role For one of our enterprise SaaS projects, emagine is looking for an experienced Freelance Senior Full Stack Developer (.NET & React) based in the Netherlands. You will work on a large-scale HR & Payroll SaaS platform built with .NET microservices, React/TypeScript and Microsoft Azure. We are looking for a hands-on developer who takes ownership, delivers high-quality code and enjoys contributing to architectural decisions in a modern cloud environment. Your Responsibilities Design, develop and maintain full-stack applications using .NET and React/TypeScript. Build and optimise REST APIs and microservices. Develop scalable, reusable frontend components. Work with Azure cloud services and event-driven architectures. Implement backend business logic using Entity Framework Core and SQL Server. Contribute to architecture discussions and technical improvements. Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality. Collaborate with Architects, Product Owners, QA Engineers and other developers. Troubleshoot and optimise application performance. Requirements 6+ years of professional experience with C#, .NET and ASP.NET Core. 4+ years of hands-on experience with React and TypeScript. Strong experience with REST APIs and microservices. Solid knowledge of Entity Framework Core and SQL Server. Practical experience with Microsoft Azure. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing. Understanding of clean architecture, dependency injection and asynchronous programming. Strong communication skills in Dutch or English. Based in the Netherlands and eligible to work here. Available to work on a freelance/contract basis. Nice to Have Azure Service Bus, SignalR or Azure Functions. CQRS and MediatR. Redux Toolkit, Vite or Storybook. Experience with multi-tenant SaaS platforms. Familiarity with SAGA patterns and event-driven systems. Azure OpenAI, GitHub Copilot or AI-assisted development. Requirements
Requires at least 6 years of professional C#/.NET and ASP.NET Core experience and at least 4 years of hands-on React and TypeScript experience. Candidates should have experience with APIs, microservices, Entity Framework Core, SQL Server, Azure, CI/CD, automated testing, and clean architecture, and must be based in the Netherlands, eligible to work there, and available for freelance contracting.
