Job Description

Job Description About the role As a Screen Printer specializing in Sakurai machinery, you will take full ownership of setting up, operating, and maintaining our fully automated Sakurai cylinder screen printing presses. Precision, technical competence, and consistency define this role: you will produce complex, high-tolerance print runs on a variety of technical and graphic substrates. Leveraging your graphic arts background, acute color vision, and keen eye for detail, you will ensure exceptional quality, tight registration, and flawless print execution across every production run. Key Responsibilities This role is based on-site at our Zoeterwoude location. Set up, calibrate, and operate fully automated Sakurai cylinder screen printing presses, configuring screen frames, sheet feeders, and inline curing tunnels for stable, jam-free feeding. Prepare, mix, and verify custom inks against Pantone references while monitoring and adjusting viscosity, tack, and drying behavior during extended production runs. Control critical screen printing variables such as squeegee angle, pressure, and off-contact distance to guarantee sharp dots and uniform ink deposition. Conduct continuous visual and instrumental inspections to verify registration accuracy, color consistency, opacity, and compliance with industrial durability standards. Execute routine first-line machine maintenance, thoroughly clean components per EHS guidelines, and accurately record production parameters within the ERP/MES system. Qualifications Required: Vocational degree or certified technical training in Graphic Media, Print Technology, or an equivalent discipline, with proven hands-on experience operating Sakurai cylinder presses (or equivalent stop-cylinder equipment). Required: Strong technical command of screen printing parameters, including mesh counts, emulsion types, squeegee dynamics, and ink chemistry. Required: Good proficiency in English (and/or Dutch) with the ability to accurately interpret technical specifications and document operations. Skills you need to succeed: Superior color differentiation capabilities for Pantone matching and meticulous attention to micro-details in print registration and surface finishes. Skills you need to succeed: Autonomous, quality-focused work ethic capable of maintaining high standards, applying 5S principles, and contributing to continuous improvement under production pressures.
