Event Operations & Planning Lead
Key Skills
Job Description
Job Description Shape the structure behind Europe’s most exclusive motorsport experiences! Behind extraordinary Formula 1 experiences there is more than speed and emotion – success also requires structure, precision, and a strong team. If you have spent years bringing complex events to life and are ready to apply your expertise to shape how event teams plan and work, this is your opportunity to make an impact. At Global-Tickets we are looking for an experienced Event Operations & Planning Lead to develop and set the structures for the future growth of Global-Tickets Villages and the Mavericks Club. In your new role you will be a driving force behind the scenes of premium motorsport experiences at major racing events across Europe. In a shared leadership structure reporting directly to the Head of Events, you will take full ownership of event plannings, operational processes, and business cases - initially overseeing e-commerce and sales channels as well. Working closely with our Event Production & Commercial Lead you balance hands-on coordination with building a more reliable and scalable way of working across our European event portfolio. Steering the structures behind event planning, you drive processes, timelines and cross-functional alignment across logistics, ticketing, and finance to ensure every event is delivered smoothly. If you are motivated to take ownership, challenge existing ways of working and want to help us grow, we are looking forward to meeting you! Your Impact Event Operations & Planning: Take full ownership of the planning and backoffice operations including resource allocation, pre-event preparations, and post-event follow-ups. You keep day-to-day work moving while improving how it is organized. Internal stakeholder management: Manage cross-functional collaboration, holding internal stakeholders accountable to their deliverables, priorities, and milestones through regular alignments. Project & Process Management: You actively develop and optimize our project structures by defining standardized templates and processes to enable scalability of our events across Europe. Business Cases & Financial Transparency: Own event business cases, maintain forecasts, and coordinate corrective actions with responsible stakeholders when deviations occur. E-Commerce & Sales Channel Management: Initially, in collaboration with our CRM team, you oversee product listings across our webshop and booking platforms. You will ensure accurate listings and availability, monitor bookings and channel performance, and adjust prices and allocations within agreed limits. Your Top 3 Goals Lay the foundation for growth: Establish practical planning standards and processes that the team uses consistently and can apply across events. Ensure Seamless Event Delivery: Make responsibilities, deadlines and dependencies clear for all stakeholders and address delays or resource conflicts early. Turn financial transparency into action: Keep business cases and forecasts reliable, identify deviations early and coordinate corrective actions with the responsible colleagues. Job Requirements 5+ years of experience in project management, event production, event operations or other comparable environments. A track record of improving planning and operational processes in complex, project-based environments, and making those improvements work in daily practice. Previous experience with project management tools like e.g. Monday is a plus. Excellent organizational skills with a structured, proactive and solution-oriented mindset. Practical experience with budgets, forecasts and business cases, with the ability to understand deviations and work with others to turn them into concrete actions. A high level of ownership, independence and the ambition to build scalable operational structures. Clear communication and confidence to challenge assumptions and hold teams accountable while maintaining constructive working relationships. Fluency in English is required; German, Dutch or Polish are an advantage. What Awaits You Direct Influence on Our Growth: Work in an ambitious environment and actively contribute to our strategies to further expand our leading position in motorsports. International Team Culture: An international team that values cohesion and self-responsibility, with short decision-making paths, events and after-works. Development: Expand your expertise through challenging projects and increasing responsibility over time. We support you to take initiative, develop your skills, and take the next step. Flexibility Where it Matters: Flexible start and finish times around our core working hours help you balance team commitments and personal needs. Exclusive Experiences & Networking: Access to Formula 1 & MotoGP, and annual events for creative ideas and team-building. Modern Work Environment: State-of-the-art equipment and an office with space for interaction and relaxation – including a gaming room, and restaurant with a terrace. Why Global-Tickets? You will join an international business where your work directly shapes how our event operations develop.
