Job Description

Production & RF Lab Supervisor

Your challenge

Take ownership of our RF laboratory and small-scale production, ensuring that our equipment, people, and processes are ready to deliver high-quality RF and microwave measurement instruments and components.

Combine practical technical leadership with day-to-day organization: keep the lab running reliably, coordinate production from build planning through final testing, and help a small international team deliver dependable products.

Your role

We are seeking a Production & RF Lab Supervisor to manage our RF laboratory and take responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of our small-scale production. You will plan, coordinate and execute assembly and testing, organize resources and materials, and maintain a safe, well-equipped working environment. You will lead a small production team, set day-to-day priorities and ensure builds meet agreed quality and delivery requirements. This is a hands-on supervisory role for someone who enjoys organizing work, guiding colleagues and resolving practical technical issues—not simply overseeing activities from a distance.

Key duties and responsibilities

· Production ownership: Plan and coordinate small-scale builds from material readiness through assembly, inspection and final testing, taking responsibility for agreed schedules, build quality and completion.

· Workload and team coordination: Set priorities, allocate tasks and guide colleagues supporting production and lab activities. Coordinate production schedules and shared lab resources, and communicate progress, risks and resource needs.

· RF lab operations: Manage lab access, bench organization and shared equipment availability so that measurement and testing work can proceed safely and efficiently.

· Equipment readiness: Maintain an equipment register and coordinate calibration, verification, maintenance and repairs. Track equipment status and arrange timely service or replacement where needed.

· Materials and suppliers: Monitor components, RF accessories, tools and consumables; coordinate purchasing and external services within agreed budgets, and address shortages before they delay work.

· Quality and documentation: Ensure builds use current drawings, bills of materials and work instructions. Maintain assembly and test records, traceability, and clear handling of deviations and rework.

· Testing and troubleshooting: Coordinate electrical and RF testing against agreed acceptance criteria, support fault-finding and work with engineers to resolve issues before products are released.

· Safety and good practice: Maintain safe working practices, electrostatic discharge (ESD) controls and careful handling of sensitive RF equipment and components. Train colleagues in relevant procedures.

· Continuous improvement: Improve lab layout, production workflow and documentation. Track delivery progress, quality issues and equipment availability, and address recurring causes of delays and rework.

Required skills and expertise

· A qualification in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, Mechatronics or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

· Relevant hands-on experience in electronics or RF instrumentation production, testing or laboratory operations, with experience coordinating technical work or leading a small team.

· The ability to take ownership of production planning, priorities, materials and delivery in a small-scale environment where production and testing activities share resources.

· A working knowledge of RF and microwave measurement equipment, such as vector network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators and power meters, and an understanding of calibration and careful RF handling.

· A practical understanding of electronic assembly, soldering, cable preparation and system integration, with the ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, technical drawings and bills of materials.

· An organized, quality-focused approach to equipment records, work instructions, test documentation and troubleshooting.

· Clear communication, sound judgment and a collaborative leadership style, with the ability to guide colleagues and coordinate effectively with production and technical teams.

· Good spoken and written English and confidence using planning, documentation and inventory tools.

· Experience with purchasing, inventory or ERP/MRP systems, or IPC workmanship standards is an advantage. Experience with load-pull or device characterization systems is welcome, but not essential.

What we offer

· A varied, hands-on supervisory role with ownership of our RF lab and small-scale production.

· Close collaboration with colleagues whose expertise spans electronics, RF and microwave engineering.

· The opportunity to shape practical working methods, improve production flow and develop the lab environment.

· An international working environment with a diverse team of colleagues based in the Netherlands.

· Opportunities to develop your technical leadership and operations skills while contributing to specialized measurement products.

· A full-time position (40 hours per week).

· A salary of €80,000 to €90,000 per year, depending on skills, qualifications, and experience.

Location

You will be based at our Eindhoven office at Luchthavenweg 18D, 5657 EB Eindhoven. This role requires an on-site presence to coordinate production, support colleagues and manage the RF laboratory.
