As a Senior E-commerce Consultant, you bridge business needs and technical execution, translating client requirements into scalable B2B and B2C commerce solutions that support long-term success. Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, you guide implementations from discovery to go-live, ensuring every solution is aligned with business objectives and technical requirements, including where AI adds real value. From functional design and configuration to testing and go-live, you ensure projects are delivered efficiently, adopted successfully, and create measurable value for clients. Key Responsibilities Lead workshops and requirements sessions to translate business needs into clear functional solutions, user stories, and acceptance criteria; Advise on Adobe Commerce, Magento, Shopify, and similar e-commerce platforms across B2B and B2C implementations; Configure and implement platform functionality, and support and guide developers and delivery teams throughout projects; Perform impact and gap analyses, identifying dependencies, edge cases, and managing risks; Define test scenarios, support UAT and defect management, and coordinate go-live activities – with the Tech Lead from the project; From pre-sales to go-live, take end-to-end ownership of your workstreams as a trusted advisor and stakeholder to the client. Job requirements 5+ years of experience as an Implementation or Business Consultant in e-commerce, preferably in a digital agency; Hands-on experience with Adobe Commerce, Magento, Shopify, or similar e-commerce platforms, across B2B and B2C; Strong understanding of e-commerce processes and customer journeys, including catalogues, pricing, promotions, checkout, and fulfilment; Solid understanding of e-commerce architecture, APIs (REST, JSON, webhooks), and diverse data flows; Working knowledge of PIM, ERP, OMS, CRM, and payment ecosystems, and the ability to support integrations where needed; Practical understanding of generative AI, agents and automation in B2B and B2C commerce; Experience within a fast-paced project environment; Fluency in spoken and written Dutch is mandatory due to the client nature of the role. Nice-to-haves Familiarity with headless commerce and SaaS integrations; Knowledge of accessibility standards (ARIA, keyboard navigation, WCAG); Able to translate AI use cases into measurable outcomes, requirements and rollout steps; Experience mentoring developers or leading technical project delivery. Core Responsibilities

Lead client workshops and translate business needs into functional designs, user stories, and acceptance criteria for B2B and B2C e-commerce implementations. Guide platform configuration, delivery teams, testing, risk management, and go-live activities while owning client workstreams from pre-sales through launch.

Requirements

Requires at least five years of e-commerce implementation or business consulting experience, hands-on experience with platforms such as Adobe Commerce, Magento, or Shopify, and strong knowledge of e-commerce processes, architecture, APIs, and integrations. Fluency in spoken and written Dutch is mandatory; practical understanding of generative AI and experience in fast-paced project environments are also required.
