Food & Water Sciences, Netherlands Period: start November/ December 2026, duration: 6 months We offer a position for an Erasmusstudent (or similar scholarship) In this position, you are responsible for carrying out and assessing microbiological analyses according to schedule. Together with your colleagues, you are responsible for sample preparation, use of samples, evaluation of plates and determination of micro-organisms. You are part of an enthusiastic and dynamic team. YOUR PROFILE: - Following a study on Bsc or MSc level in microbiology, food science, or similar; - EU citizenship - Available for 6 months - English in word and writing; - Working in shifts and available during weekends once a month; - Are in the possesion of a drivers licence B WHAT TO EXPECT: - Fulltime position (40 hours a week) - Housing arranged - Flight Tickets arranged - Transport to work arranged - Gaining experience in a food lab

Core Responsibilities

Carry out and assess microbiological analyses according to schedule. Prepare and handle samples, evaluate plates, and determine microorganisms in collaboration with colleagues.

Requirements

Currently studying at bachelor’s or master’s level in microbiology, food science, or a similar field; EU citizenship and availability for a six-month internship are required. Applicants must have written and spoken English, be available for shift work and one weekend per month, and hold a category B driver’s license.
