As Junior Consultant (Hay 9) you will be part of the Consultancy Pool, you bring structure and momentum to strategic initiatives by leading workstreams and smaller projects with greater independence. Together, we make strategy work. Your job As a Consultant, you deliver workstreams and smaller projects under the guidance of a senior colleague. You keep track of planning, risks and deliverables, and you take ownership of progress, time and scope. You combine structured analysis with effective stakeholder engagement. What You Will Do Lead smaller projects, or serve as workstream lead or PMO on larger, highly complex programs. Turn complex project information into clear plans, proposals and progress reports. Ask critical questions and constructively challenge existing ways of working. Monitor planning, risks, dependencies and deliverables. Co-create project and implementation plans and align stakeholders around them. Create compelling analyses, presentations and project documentation. Plan and facilitate workshops, manage group dynamics and translate outcomes into actions. Spot opportunities to improve processes and project approaches. Set priorities across multiple projects while maintaining quality and a sustainable workload. Contribute to process improvements and digital change initiatives, translating business and project needs into workable solutions. Ask for feedback, contribute to the Consultancy Pool and wider SE&I community, and set a positive example for other (more) junior colleagues. Working environment You will join the Consultancy Pool within SE&I: ABN AMRO’s change force and a central foundation for executing complex change. SE&I consists of 5 Expertise consulting teams, Change Excellence, and the Consultancy Pool. Consultants are deployed flexibly across strategic and high-priority change assignments throughout the bank. We combine broad knowledge of ABN AMRO with strong execution skills, helping teams challenge ideas, accelerate progress and embed change that delivers measurable, lasting impact while reducing reliance on external consultancy. We help you become an all-round consultant through training, project coaching and collaboration with SE&I expertise teams. Your profile You are analytical, proactive and focused on results. You communicate clearly and take responsibility for quality. You are ready to own a workstream or smaller project, balance several priorities and bring stakeholders together. You welcome feedback and actively invest in your development. You also bring: A university-level education or equivalent level of working and thinking. Typically two or more years of relevant experience in consultancy, project management, PMO or a comparable change environment. The ability to analyse information and summarise findings clearly. Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills for presentations, analysis and reporting. The ability to prepare and facilitate workshops and turn outcomes into actions. Strong prioritisation and time-management skills across multiple projects. Confident use of approved generative AI tools to analyse and structure information, develop drafts and prepare project work, while validating outputs and protecting sensitive data in line with ABN AMRO policies. A collaborative mindset, taking initiative and working effectively with others. Professional proficiency in English; Dutch is a strong advantage. Core Responsibilities

Lead smaller projects or workstreams within complex programs, managing plans, risks, dependencies, deliverables, scope, and progress. Analyze project information, prepare reports and presentations, facilitate workshops, align stakeholders, and identify improvements to project and change processes.

Requirements

Candidates should have a university-level education or equivalent and typically at least two years of relevant experience in consultancy, project management, PMO, or a comparable change environment. They should demonstrate strong analytical, communication, prioritization, workshop facilitation, PowerPoint, and Excel skills, use approved generative AI responsibly, and have professional English proficiency; Dutch is an advantage.
