Job Description

It’s an amazing time to join O'Neill as we are riding the wave of change. Rise to your potential and help us take our legacy into the future. Graphic Designer To be considered for this role, please make sure to include a link to your portfolio or attach it to your application. A Perfect Fit We are looking for a versatile and hands-on Graphic Designer to join our Creative team. Working closely with the wider Marketing team, you’ll bring seasonal campaigns and creative projects to life across all channels. You can confidently take ownership of day-to-day design and campaign rollout, working quickly and efficiently across various projects. With a great eye for design, you bring creative ideas and fresh thinking to the team and enjoy finding ways to make the work even better. What You’ll Be Working On Campaigns & Creative Development Translate briefs and creative direction into well-crafted campaign assets, and adapt and roll out deliverables across all channels, including eCommerce, retail, trade, PR and social. Bring creative ideas and visual inspiration to projects, exploring different approaches and looking for ways to develop and push the creative direction while staying true to the O’Neill brand. Take ownership of projects from initial brief and design development through to final delivery. Imagery, Video & Production Select and prepare imagery for campaigns and other creative assets, including basic image adjustments and retouching where needed. Adapt and resize videos for online use. Help prepare for shoots through moodboards and pre-production presentation decks. Provide creative feedback during post-production when needed, including on colour grading, retouching and edits. Artwork & File Delivery Prepare, check and package final artwork for print and digital delivery. Ensure files meet the relevant technical specifications, including resolution, colour profiles, file formats and sizing. Templates, Toolkits & Asset Management Create styleguides, and develop and maintain toolkits and shared Figma templates for digital assets. Maintain organised working files and asset libraries, ensuring files are clearly named, structured and easy for the team to access and use. Presentations Create visually engaging presentations, sales meeting decks and slides. Brand & Collaboration Ensure consistency of the O’Neill brand across all materials and channels, reinforcing our position as a leading surf brand through strong visual communication and product storytelling. Work collaboratively with the Creative team, sharing ideas, feedback and design approaches throughout projects. Take direction and feedback from the Brand Creative and key stakeholders. Continuous Improvement Proactively look for opportunities to improve and elevate creative output and ways of working. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing priorities and meeting deadlines while maintaining a high standard of creative work. What We’re Looking For Experience 4+ years of experience in graphic design, ideally within a fashion or sports/lifestyle brand. A strong portfolio showcasing graphic design, typography, visual storytelling and creative thinking. Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects) and Figma, with experience creating and working with templates and collaborative workflows. A strong understanding of creative production processes, with experience across both digital and print. Experience with motion graphics and video editing is a plus. Skills A great eye for design, combined with the ability to work quickly and efficiently across various projects. Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the confidence to present work and discuss ideas A positive, practical team player who can adapt to changing priorities. Fluent in English (written and verbal). You’ll Thrive Here If You Enjoy owning a project from first brief all the way to final artwork. Like finding ways to make the work even better, rather than settling for the first solution. Get energy from both fast-paced campaign rollout and exploring new creative ideas. Enjoy working closely with others in a creative team, sharing ideas and feedback. Have a keen interest in surf and snow sports; any experience is a plus. Who will you work for? O'Neill was founded in Northern California with one simple mission, to surf longer. Over seven decades later, that mission remains at the core of our brand, inseparable from the history of surf itself. Powered by ongoing innovation, we continue to reinvent the O'Neill wetsuit, the original wetsuit, a game-changing invention—and design functional and versatile surf- and snow-gear and lifestyle apparel that enables our customers to enjoy their playground longer. As a brand created to enjoy nature, we see it as our responsibility to actively preserve it and contribute to a cleaner, more sustainable world. O’Neill, the original California surf, snow and lifestyle brand, was founded in 1952 when a young man named Jack O’Neill took his unstoppable passion for surfing and used it to battle Mother Nature. O’Neill will always be committed to growing its reputation as one of the world’s leading youth lifestyle brands based on being the First Name in the water. While many things have changed since those humble beginnings, Jack’s initial vision of producing functional and innovative board riding products continues to lie at the core of everything the company does. O’Neill’s core values — innovation in style and technology — have seen the brand devote itself wholeheartedly to the evolution of the action sports lifestyle.
