General Description Of The Role Odido is looking for an experienced Network Security Designer to analyze, design, and improve IP networking and security solutions within a complex telecom environment. In this role, you will translate functional, operational, and security requirements into scalable and sustainable network designs while ensuring compliance with architecture, availability, and security standards. You will collaborate with a variety of stakeholders and deliver high-quality designs, implementation plans, and technical documentation that contribute to secure and reliable network services. Key Responsibilities / Result Areas Analyze existing network infrastructures, configurations, and traffic flows. Identify dependencies, risks, security challenges, and operational constraints. Design IP networking solutions, routing architectures, network segmentation, and security controls. Develop technical designs, implementation plans, test scenarios, and rollback procedures. Define requirements for authentication, authorization, logging, monitoring, and device hardening. Validate designs and changes in test environments and support production implementations. Document technical decisions, risk assessments, and design considerations. Deliver complete technical documentation, knowledge transfer, and maintainable end solutions. Ensure quality, availability, scalability, and security within assigned work packages. Specific Skills / Knowledge / Competencies Minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering and/or network design within complex production environments. Strong knowledge of IP routing and switching, including BGP, OSPF and/or IS-IS, MPLS, VPNs, IPv4, and IPv6. Proven experience in network security design, including segmentation, firewalling, traffic filtering, secure management access, and device hardening. Experience designing highly available and resilient network environments. Hands-on experience with at least two of the following vendors: Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, F5, and Nokia. Experience with migrations, implementations, validation activities, and acceptance testing. Strong analytical skills and a structured approach to solving complex technical challenges. Ability to work independently and take ownership of agreed deliverables and outcomes. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical decisions to a variety of stakeholders. Experience within a telecom operator or service provider environment is highly desirable. Knowledge of network automation and scripting is considered an advantage. Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken. Requirements

Requires at least five years of network engineering or design experience in complex production environments, strong IP routing and switching knowledge, and proven network security design experience. Candidates should have hands-on experience with at least two of Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, F5, and Nokia, plus strong analytical and communication skills; telecom or service-provider experience is highly desirable.
