As a Senior SAP SD Consultant, you translate business needs into practical SAP S/4HANA Sales and Order-to-Cash solutions. You combine client-facing consulting with hands-on configuration, take ownership of defined workstream deliverables and help clients standardise processes across national and international transformations. 

Job Description

You help clients design, implement and improve end-to-end Order-to-Cash processes, from quotations and sales orders through delivery, billing and integration with receivables. Working with business stakeholders, solution architects and cross-functional teams, you deliver SAP S/4HANA implementations, conversions and rollouts. You own the quality of your functional scope, communicate dependencies and risks, and support decisions that balance business value with maintainable, standard SAP solutions. 

You contribute across the SAP Activate lifecycle, from discovery and fit-to-standard workshops to configuration, testing, deployment and hypercare. Depending on the engagement, you work with SAP S/4HANA on-premise, Private Edition or Public Edition, applying the relevant configuration, extensibility and integration approach rather than assuming all deployment models work identically. 

You work alongside experienced colleagues, coach junior consultants and contribute reusable delivery assets and practical knowledge to the SAP team. Your focus is functional delivery and client outcomes; enterprise architecture and overall programme strategy remain shared responsibilities with the appropriate leads. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Lead requirements and fit-to-standard workshops; document process flows, gaps, design decisions and acceptance criteria using SAP Best Practices. 

• Configure sales document types, item categories, schedule lines, partner determination, pricing, copy control, delivery and billing processes, returns, credit/debit memos and output management appropriate to the solution. 

• Design integrated processes with Finance, Materials Management and logistics teams, including account determination, tax requirements, availability checks and credit management touchpoints. 

• Define functional specifications for justified extensions and interfaces; collaborate with developers and integration specialists on clean-core-aligned solutions and released APIs where applicable. 

• Support Business Partner and sales master-data design, migration mapping, data-quality checks and reconciliation of relevant open sales documents. 

• Prepare and execute unit and integration tests, support user acceptance and regression testing, and resolve defects with business and technical teams. 

• Support cutover planning, go-live readiness, user training, hypercare and handover; enable adoption of relevant SAP Fiori apps and operational reporting. 

• Manage assigned deliverables, estimates, dependencies and risks; coach junior colleagues and contribute to proposals, demonstrations and continuous improvement. 

Qualifications

• Typically 5+ years of relevant SAP SD consulting or implementation experience, or equivalent demonstrated depth, with strong hands-on configuration and end-to-end Order-to-Cash expertise. 

• Experience in at least one SAP S/4HANA implementation, conversion or rollout, with meaningful involvement across design, build, testing and go-live. 

• Strong knowledge of sales order management, pricing, delivery, billing, returns and sales master data, plus integration with FI and MM and understanding of logistics execution. 

• Working knowledge of SAP Fiori, SAP Activate, fit-to-standard delivery and clean-core principles; ability to explain standard capabilities and justify gaps clearly. 

• Ability to independently facilitate workshops, produce clear functional documentation, troubleshoot process issues and coordinate testing and delivery across teams. 

• A collaborative, proactive approach, strong stakeholder communication and a willingness to coach junior consultants and continue developing your expertise. 

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, IT, engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant professional experience. 

• Proficiency in Dutch and English, willingness to participate in Dutch and international projects, and willingness to travel when required for client delivery. 

• SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition experience, including scope-item-led delivery and cloud configuration, or relevant Private Edition transformation experience. 

• Exposure to advanced Available-to-Promise (aATP), SAP Credit Management, settlement management, intercompany sales or third-party sales processes. 

• Integration experience with EWM, Transportation Management, external commerce/CRM platforms or EDI; familiarity with SAP Integration Suite and SAP BTP extensibility concepts. 

• Relevant SAP certification and experience with SAP Cloud ALM, SAP Signavio, migration tools or test automation. 

• Awareness of SAP Business AI and Joule use cases, with the ability to assess practical value, data readiness and governance. Specialist subscription billing or SAP BRIM experience is a plus for relevant engagements, not a core SD requirement.

Additional Information

• Gross salary between €3.965,- and €6200,-, holiday allowance, a bonus and fixed expense allowance of €62,- net and a working from home allowance.
