Intern Marketing Automation and Email Nurturing
Key Skills
Job Description
Job description: About the team Omron Industrial Automation Europe supplies machine builders and manufacturers across Europe. Our Digital Marketing and MarCom department runs content, campaigns, social, and demand generation for the EMEA region. We are looking for an intern to own our product nurture emails from start to finish. The assignment When someone downloads content about one of our products, they should hear from us again at the right moment, with something worth reading. You will build these automated drip campaigns in Eloqua, our marketing automation platform, for the products we want to push. You plan the flow, create the content, build the campaign, watch how people respond, and fix what isn't working. The whole chain is yours. AI writes most of the first drafts, so you will use it every day. Your part is steering it and editing the output until it sounds like a person writing to an engineer or a plant manager. You will also research what makes nurture emails work: length, subject lines, structure, calls to action, send timing. Then you read the reports, see which emails get opened and clicked and which get ignored, and rewrite. You won't be alone with Eloqua, but we expect you to get up to speed fast and mostly on your own. Main responsibilities Flow planning: plan automated drip campaigns that follow up at the right moment when someone downloads content about one of our products. Campaign building: build and launch these campaigns in Eloqua for the products we want to push, getting up to speed fast and mostly on your own. AI-assisted content creation: steer AI first drafts and edit them until they sound like a person writing to an engineer or a plant manager. Research: find out what makes nurture emails work, including length, subject lines, structure, calls to action and send timing. Reporting and optimisation: read the reports, see which emails get opened and clicked and which get ignored, and rewrite what isn't working. Who you are Marketing automation tools don't scare you, and you are happy to learn one you have never seen. You like trying new AI tools, have experience with Claude Code or Codex. You're not scared of reading documentation, and you are happy to spend an evening in a GitHub repo. You know how to get decent writing out of AI and can tell an email people read from one they delete. You like digging into engagement data, and when the numbers say something isn't working, you come up with a different angle. You finish what you start. Your English is good. Experience with email marketing, an automation platform, or basic HTML helps, but a sharp eye for content and the drive to work independently matter more. A basic understanding of marketing and communications. A strong interest in generative AI, marketing automation and digital content. Creative, curious and willing to experiment with new technologies. What we offer Live campaigns with results you can measure, hands-on time with an enterprise automation platform, and a digital marketing team to learn from. Duration: 6 months, starting as soon as possible. How to apply Send your CV and a short motivation. We would also like to see something you wrote or built, such as an email, a newsletter, or an automated workflow. A school or personal project is fine.
