Job Description
Just finished your degree and not ready to spend the next year behind a screen? This role puts you out in Amsterdam from your first week. I lead Yonder in the Netherlands, and you'll be the first person I hire here. There's no big team around you and no playbook to follow. You'll work directly with me, try things, see what works, and help write the playbook the people after you will use.If you're looking for a graduate job in partnerships, business development, sales or account management, and you love hospitality, food and drink and events, read on. Fluent Dutch is required for this role (vloeiend Nederlands is een vereiste). You’ll be speaking with Dutch-speaking venue owners every day, so we can’t consider applications without it. What your weeks will look like Visiting restaurants, cafés, bars and venues across the city and convincing them to work with us Setting up and running small events with partner venues, from the idea to the guest list Talking to members and venue owners, and bringing back what you learn Looking at what worked each week and deciding with me what to try next What you'll get out of it Real responsibility from day one, and results you can point to Commercial skills you don't learn in a lecture hall: pitching, negotiating, hearing "no" and coming back with a better offer A close-up view of how a new market is built A network across Amsterdam's food and drink scene You don't need partnerships experience. What matters more: Fluent in Dutch and English (must) You recently completed a bachelor's or master's degree, in any field You enjoy starting conversations with people you don't know, and you ask questions before you pitch You've done something that shows you make things happen: organising events, working behind a bar or on the floor, selling something, running a side project You're curious about Amsterdam's restaurants, cafés and bars You live in or near Amsterdam and have the right to work in the Netherlands The practical bit Full-time, 12-month contract, starting as soon as possible €2.800–€3.400 gross per month, plus 8% holiday allowance Mostly out in the field across Amsterdam A short process: a call, a practical case and a final conversation, with a decision within about three weeks About Yonder, briefly: a UK-founded rewards membership with its own debit and debit cards, for people who like to explore their city. Amsterdam is our first market outside the UK. How to apply: apply with your CV. Want to stand out? Send me a message with a venue in Amsterdam you love and why it works.
