Trustoo is the online marketplace for local services, helping consumers easily find and compare the best local professionals. Think Booking.com or Tripadvisor, but for local services. Today, Trustoo connects consumers with more than 300,000 local businesses across the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium and Spain. Our team of 80+ colleagues is continuously improving and scaling the platform. Your role As a Full Stack Developer in our Marketplace Squad, you'll improve the consumer journey, from finding and comparing professionals to submitting requests and connecting with the right provider. We're not looking for someone who just builds tickets. We want someone who thinks along about what we should build and why. You'll work closely with Product, Design and Data to identify opportunities, challenge assumptions and turn business problems into effective solutions. What You'll Do Build fast, intuitive consumer experiences using React.js and Next.js. Improve conversion, user experience and marketplace performance. Contribute ideas and challenge product decisions using data and user insights. Take ownership of features from idea to launch and evaluation. Use AI tools to accelerate development, prototyping and automation. Build backend functionality and APIs using PHP/CakePHP when needed. Experiment, learn and continuously improve the product. We Are Looking For Someone Who 3+ years of professional frontend or full-stack development experience. Strong JavaScript and React.js skills, preferably with Next.js experience. Experience working with backend systems and APIs. PHP is a plus. Strong product intuition and genuine interest in how businesses grow. Curiosity about conversion, experimentation and user behaviour. A proactive mindset: you ask questions, suggest improvements and take ownership. Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor or Claude. Interest in AI agents and automation. A pragmatic attitude focused on delivering value rather than just writing code. Most importantly, you care about why you're building something, not just how. Core Responsibilities

Build and improve consumer-facing marketplace experiences, focusing on user experience, conversion, and marketplace performance. Own features from idea through launch and evaluation, collaborate with Product, Design, and Data, and contribute backend functionality and APIs when needed.

Requirements

Requires at least three years of professional frontend or full-stack development experience, strong JavaScript and React.js skills, and experience with backend systems and APIs; Next.js experience is preferred and PHP is a plus. The ideal candidate has product intuition, takes ownership, is curious about user behavior and experimentation, and has experience with AI-assisted development tools and interest in AI agents and automation.
