extreme cashmere builds an ongoing cashmere collection, a wardrobe that grows edition by edition without being tied to seasons or trends. these editions are for every body and everybody. we create long-lasting garments that surprise with shape, color and detail. luxury, for us, is the feeling of something done exactly right, essential and transformative in ways that are hard to explain and easy to feel. the role we are looking for an assistant store manager to help run our amsterdam store on the utrechtsestraat. our store is small and personal. most of our clients come back, and many know the team by name. you will look after our clients as if they were guests in our home, working alongside the store manager and reporting directly to her. when she is not in, you run the store. what you’ll do welcome and advise welcome clients, advise them on shape, qualities and care — and help them find the right piece. keep in touch with your regulars and build the client book. invite them to the store for new editions and evenings. run the store open and close the store, handle cash and payments and make sure the store looks great every morning. stand in for the store manager on her days off and during holidays. lead the team help the store manager plan the weekly roster, train new sales associates and coach the team on the floor. you are the first point of contact for the team when the store manager is away. keep the store in shape receive deliveries, check stock, run counts and handle transfers with our logistics team. keep the displays and the rails in line with our visual guidelines. tell us what sells and what clients ask for. handle care look after our care services, from washing and steaming to repairs, including for our partners. host events help prepare and run events at the store with neighbors, hotels and friends of the brand. who you are 10+ years in retail on the shop floor, ideally in luxury or premium fashion, with some time as a team lead, key holder or assistant manager a warm, trustworthy people person patient, confident, knowledgeable and never pushy organized and calm a natural leader fluent in english and dutch; any other language is a plus available to work weekends and the occasional evening a feel for knitwear and natural fibers is a plus what we offer a key role in a small store a direct line to the store manager a beautiful product with a strong brand identity and loyal clients a collaborative, international team in amsterdam a competitive salary, 25 days of holiday and a staff discount on our editions to apply if this sounds like you, please send your cv and a short cover note to [email protected].

Core Responsibilities

Welcome and advise clients, build lasting customer relationships, and manage daily store operations, including opening and closing, payments, stock, displays, and garment care services. Support and lead the team in the store manager’s absence, assist with scheduling and training, and help prepare and host store events.

Requirements

Candidates need more than 10 years of retail shop-floor experience, ideally in luxury or premium fashion, including experience as a team lead, key holder, or assistant manager. They should be warm, trustworthy, patient, confident, organized, and calm; fluency in English and Dutch is required, and weekend and occasional evening availability is expected.
