Introduction 36 hours per week Start: asap End: 31 October 2027 Extension is possible ZZP is allowed Hybrid working applicable Job description In the Public Cloud Platform team you become part of a global team that works on establishing the right landing ground for new workloads on AWS to build upon. Your team consists out of 6 other AWS Cloud Platform Engineers that work on making a safe, compliant and consumable platform. You work together with other engineers and colleagues to help support the move from our current on-premise way of working to the AWS Cloud DevOps way of working while expanding the functionality of AWS platform. With the following results (SMART) - Use your AWS expertise to deliver expected work - Deliver infrastructure as code while using AWS CDK - Refactor existing source code repositories with Python - Implement IT networking based on Network Security Perimeter standard - Work on automated testing - Migrate CI/CD pipeline to GitLab - Expand AWS platform to other regions to follow business demands - Help with migration of the workloads from on-premise to AWS cloud based on the roadmap delivered - Collaborate with developers on software requirements Requirements Mandatory skills: - AWS Landing zone - CDK infrastructure as a code - Serverless environments (Lambda & Step functions etc) - Multi-account AWS environments - AWS organizations - Account Bootstrapping - Strong software engineering skills in Python(Senior Python developer experience) - Automation Other: - IT networking - CI/CD pipelines - GIT - Good understanding of observability tooling (eg: Splunk)

Core Responsibilities

Build and expand a secure, compliant AWS platform, delivering infrastructure as code with AWS CDK and refactoring repositories using Python. Support workload migration from on-premises to AWS, implement networking and automated testing, migrate CI/CD pipelines to GitLab, and collaborate with developers and platform colleagues.

Requirements

Requires strong AWS expertise, including landing zones, multi-account environments, AWS Organizations, account bootstrapping, and serverless services such as Lambda and Step Functions. Senior-level Python software engineering skills and automation experience are required; networking, CI/CD, Git, and observability knowledge are also sought.
