On behalf of our client, an international manufacturer of precision test and inspection equipment, we are looking for an experienced interim Senior Buyer for their production and service site in Capelle aan den IJssel. The role You keep day-to-day procurement running smoothly for production and service, while playing a key role in a production transfer project to the group’s site in Telford, UK. This is a hands-on, operational buying role for someone who is comfortable working across borders. What you’ll do Manage daily purchasing for manufacturing, production and service operations Monitor stock levels, track purchase orders and ensure on-time delivery of components and materials Create and process inter-company purchase orders to support the inventory transfer to the UK Act as key contact for the UK procurement team, sharing supplier and component knowledge for a smooth handover Maintain accurate supplier, part and PO data in Exact ERP and resolve MRP messages and exception signals What you bring Proven experience as a (Senior) Buyer in a manufacturing or technical production environment Hands-on experience with Exact ERP or a similar ERP system, with solid MRP knowledge Experience with production relocations, site transfers or inter-company logistics is a strong plus Good understanding of supplier management, inventory control and supply chain processes Fluent Dutch and English You work as an independent contractor through your own business (ZZP/freelance or own company) The assignment Interim, approx. 6 months, on-site in Capelle aan den IJssel, start as soon as possible. Core Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day purchasing for manufacturing, production, and service operations, including stock monitoring, purchase order tracking, and timely delivery of materials. Support the production transfer to the UK by processing intercompany orders, coordinating with the UK procurement team, and maintaining accurate supplier, part, and purchase order data in Exact ERP.

Requirements

Candidates should have proven experience as a buyer in a manufacturing or technical production environment, hands-on experience with Exact ERP or a similar system, and solid MRP knowledge. Experience with production relocations or intercompany logistics is an advantage; fluent Dutch and English and the ability to work as an independent contractor are required.
