About Observer Observer is building an AI desktop assistant that provides real-time contextual assistance during interviews, sales conversations, technical discussions and professional meetings. We're looking for a technically strong engineer interested in building an early-stage AI product and shaping its technical direction. What you'll work on Build and improve Observer's desktop and web applications. Develop frontend and backend functionality. Integrate LLM APIs and real-time AI capabilities. Work with transcription, streaming and contextual AI workflows. Contribute to architecture, infrastructure and product decisions. Tech Stack React, TypeScript, Next.js, Electron, Node.js, Bun, PostgreSQL, Supabase, OpenAI and Google Gemini. What we're looking for Strong React, TypeScript and JavaScript experience. Full-stack development experience. Familiarity with APIs, databases and system architecture. Interest in AI-powered products and LLM integrations. Someone who takes ownership and enjoys building from the ground up. Compensation & Engagement This is an unpaid, early-stage founding-team collaboration. There is currently no fixed salary. Potential equity or profit-sharing arrangements are not guaranteed and would require separate discussion and a written agreement. Core Responsibilities

Requirements

Candidates should have strong React, TypeScript, and JavaScript skills, full-stack development experience, and familiarity with APIs, databases, and system architecture. The role seeks someone interested in AI-powered products and LLM integrations who takes ownership and enjoys building from the ground up; three or more years of experience are preferred.
