At The Medical Export Group (MEG), we believe access to healthcare is a fundamental human right. As a Buying Coordinator, you play a key role in ensuring that essential medical products reach healthcare professionals, hospitals, NGOs and humanitarian organizations in low- and middle-income countries. Your role You are the vital link between suppliers, buyers and internal stakeholders. You support the purchasing process from sourcing to order management and ensure accurate registration of prices, lead times, product information and documentation. In this international role, you work closely with suppliers worldwide and collaborate daily with Sales, Quality Assurance and Operations. What you’ll do Support Buyers in identifying and sourcing products and suppliers Request quotations, product information and lead times from suppliers Compare supplier proposals and advise Buyers and Sales on the best options Negotiate pricing, payment terms and discounts within your delegated authority Prepare and place purchase orders Monitor order confirmations and escalate discrepancies when needed Maintain accurate pricing, lead times and product information in the ERP system Request and monitor supplier information and identify deviations or risks Support qualification of new products and suppliers Collaborate closely with Sales, Operations, Planning, Inbound Supply and QA Identify process bottlenecks and propose improvements Who you are You are proactive, analytical, structured, and highly accurate and thrive in a dynamic, international environment where priorities can change quickly. You combine strong administrative skills with a commercial mindset and know how to build productive relationships with suppliers and colleagues. You bring: HBO working and thinking level, ~3 years of experience in procurement or supply chain Experience in an international trading environment (plus) Good understanding of Dutch (verbally and in writing) and fluent in English You are: You are a true team player who enjoys collaborating with others, supports colleagues, and contributes to a positive and enjoyable working environment. You have strong communication skills and easily interact with colleagues, suppliers, and other stakeholders. You are flexible and resilient under pressure. Core Responsibilities

Support Buyers with product and supplier sourcing, quotations, proposal comparisons, negotiations, and purchase orders. Maintain accurate supplier and product information in the ERP system, monitor orders and risks, support qualification activities, and collaborate across teams to improve processes.

Requirements

Requires HBO-level working and thinking ability and approximately three years of procurement or supply chain experience; experience in international trading is an advantage. Candidates should understand Dutch verbally and in writing, be fluent in English, and bring strong organizational, analytical, communication, commercial, and teamwork skills.
