At The Medical Export Group (MEG), we believe access to healthcare is a fundamental human right. As a Buyer, you play a key role in ensuring that essential medical products reach healthcare professionals, hospitals, NGOs and humanitarian organizations in low- and middle-income countries. Your role As a Buyer, you are responsible for developing and managing your own portfolio of medical equipment and devices. You combine commercial expertise with strategic sourcing and supplier management to ensure the best solutions for our customers and partners worldwide. In this international position, you build strong relationships with manufacturers and suppliers across the globe, identify opportunities in the market and contribute directly to strengthening healthcare systems in low- and middle-income countries. What you’ll do Source medical equipment and devices internationally and negotiate the best commercial conditions Build, manage and continuously optimize your product portfolio Identify new suppliers, products and market opportunities Analyze markets, benchmark suppliers and evaluate commercial opportunities Develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships Negotiate contracts, pricing and commercial agreements Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement Advise the internal organization on market developments and sourcing opportunities Contribute to process improvements and smarter ways of working Visit suppliers, manufacturers and international trade fairs Who you are You are commercially driven, entrepreneurial and confident in taking ownership. You enjoy negotiating, building partnerships and operating in an international environment where no two days are the same. You are comfortable balancing strategy with execution. Core Responsibilities

Source and purchase medical equipment and devices internationally, managing and optimizing a product portfolio while negotiating pricing, contracts, and commercial terms. Develop supplier relationships, assess markets and opportunities, monitor supplier performance, advise internal teams, and contribute to process improvements.

Requirements

Requires at least an HBO-level qualification and five years of procurement experience, including experience with international suppliers and purchasing technical equipment. Candidates should have strong negotiation and commercial skills, good spoken and written Dutch, fluent English, and an entrepreneurial, analytical, results-oriented approach.
