We are looking for Country Sales Manager (Germany) in our organization. Job Summary Our new Teammate will be responsible for securing, managing, and expanding high-volume private label manufacturing contracts with major German retail groups. This role owns the German P&L, commercial B2B strategy, and corporate tender management. The ideal candidate is an expert negotiator who understands how to align our manufacturing capabilities with the strict quality, margin, and supply chain specifications of major German discount and supermarket buyers. Responsibilities · Lead and win annual or multi-year private label tenders for major German retailers, · Manage complex contract negotiations, balancing massive production volumes with tight retail margins and raw material price fluctuations. · Act as the primary interface between German retail buyers, product development (R&D), quality assurance, and production facilities. · Partner with retailers' category managers to identify gaps in their private label portfolios (e.g., premium tiers, organic/bio trends, plant-based alternatives). · Coordinate reverse engineering and customization projects to match the exact benchmarking requirements (taste, texture, packaging, pricing) specified by the client. · Ensure all products meet strictly German packaging compliance. · Provide accurate long-term volume forecasts to production facilities to guarantee exceptional service levels and avoid penalties for out-of-stock scenarios. · Ensure strict adherence to quality assurance standards demanded by German retail (e.g., IFS Food, BRC, and retailer-specific audit criteria). Job Requirements · Experience: 6+ years of commercial B2B experience in the German F&B sector, with at least 3 years explicitly dedicated to managing private label accounts or contract manufacturing for top-tier German grocery retailers. · Languages: Native or bilingual proficiency in German and professional fluency in English are mandatory. · Key Skills: Expert-level understanding of cost-plus pricing structures, commodity indexing, industrial food manufacturing capabilities, and complex corporate tender portals. · Negotiation Style: Highly analytical, data-driven, and capable of defending margins in high-pressure commercial environments.

Core Responsibilities

Lead and win private-label tenders with major German retailers, manage negotiations and the German P&L, and coordinate retailer requirements with product development, quality, and production teams. Identify portfolio opportunities, oversee product customization and compliance, and provide forecasts that support reliable supply and service levels.

Requirements

Requires at least six years of commercial B2B experience in Germany's food and beverage sector, including at least three years managing private-label accounts or contract manufacturing for major grocery retailers. Candidates must have native or bilingual German and professional English proficiency, expert knowledge of pricing, commodity indexing, food manufacturing, and tender portals, and a data-driven approach to negotiation and margin protection.
