Job Description

What if the work you did every day could impact the lives of people you know? Or all of humanity?

At Illumina, we are expanding access to genomic technology to realize health equity for billions of people around the world. Our efforts enable life-changing discoveries that are transforming human health through the early detection and diagnosis of diseases and new treatment options for patients.

Working at Illumina means being part of something bigger than yourself. Every person, in every role, has the opportunity to make a difference. Surrounded by extraordinary people, inspiring leaders, and world changing projects, you will do more and become more than you ever thought possible.

Facilities Coordinator: Onsite, Eindhoven (Netherlands)

Bring your curiosity. Make an impact. Help keep the work behind

groundbreaking science moving forward.

At Illumina, every role has the opportunity to make a difference. As our Facilities Coordinator, you’ll provide essential operational and systems support across Facilities Operations, Site Services, Engineering and related business functions across EMEA.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys bringing order to complexity, working with systems and data, and helping colleagues get the accurate information they need. You’ll be part of a collaborative environment where attention to detail matters, continuous improvement is encouraged, and you can grow through meaningful, hands-on experience.

What you’ll do

At the heart of this role is making sure our facilities information, systems and processes work effectively day to day.

You will:

  • Maintain accurate electronic filing systems, records and documentation.
  • Support essential back-office administration and operational processes.
  • Provide support across facilities systems including ServiceNow, Team Center, SAP EAM/Fiori and Archibus.
  • Support routine financial administration using tools such as Ariba and Icertis, helping with purchasing processes and budget tracking.
  • Provide global support for User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and escalate identified risks or issues.
  • Review and help improve SharePoint sites.
  • Assist with on-site vendors.
  • Support the planning, reporting and tracking of operational activities, actions and priorities.

Responsibilities and systems may vary depending on business needs and reporting lines. Reasonable accommodations may be made in response to business conditions and additional responsibilities. Full training will be provided.

What you’ll bring

You don’t need to know everything on day one. We’re looking for someone with strong systems capability, an eye for detail and the curiosity to keep learning and improving.

You’ll ideally bring:

  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Confidence using Microsoft applications, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams and SharePoint.
  • Strong IT and systems skills.
  • The ability to identify issues and contribute to problem solving and process improvement.
  • Excellent organisation, prioritisation and time-management skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and critical deadlines, including when resources are limited.
  • The confidence to work independently while also contributing as part of a team.
  • A constructive, collaborative approach when working with employees, managers and cross-functional colleagues.
  • Adaptability in a fast-moving environment, including changing demands and different time zones.

Experience using procurement platforms such as Ariba, Icertis or similar tools, databases or other business systems would be an advantage.

Experience within facilities, operations, engineering support, workplace services, compliance or another regulated environment would also be beneficial.

The Illumina experience

Every role at Illumina contributes to something bigger. Our people are connected by purpose, and meaningful work happens through collaboration across the business.

Here, growth comes through experience: taking on new challenges, learning from expertise around you and looking for better ways to get things done. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to build your knowledge across systems and operations while supporting teams across EMEA.

If you’re organised, systems-minded, collaborative and ready to bring your curiosity to a role where the details matter, we’d love to hear from you.

Bring your curiosity and make an impact.
