Mama is coming to Amsterdam Noord, and we want to meet you! 👀 

In April 2027, Mama Shelter Amsterdam will open its doors in Amsterdam Noord, and we’re getting ready to bring together a brand-new team full of different personalities, talents, and backgrounds! 

Mama Shelter is not your typical hotel. We’re a place where people come together to eat, drink, sleep, celebrate and have a good time. Think comfy rooms, lively restaurants, buzzing bars, great music and plenty of personality. But what really makes Mama special? The people! From the first hello at reception to the last cocktail of the evening, it’s our team that brings Mama to life. ❤️ 

We’re currently focusing on building our management team, but as we get closer to opening, we’ll be looking for many more people to join the Mama family. Whether you’re an experienced hospitality professional, a future manager, someone looking for a fresh start or a student searching for an internship, we’d love to get to know you!

WHERE COULD YOU FIT IN? 👀 

A lot is happening behind Mama’s doors, and it takes all kinds of people to make the magic happen! Here’s a little sneak peek at the teams we’ll be building in Amsterdam: 

🛎️ Front Office 

Our welcoming faces and guest experience experts! From receptionists and night auditors to supervisors, and managers, this team makes sure every guest feels right at home. 

🍸 Food & Beverage 

Love the buzz of a busy restaurant or bar? We’ll be looking for bartenders, bar managers, waiters, hosts, runners, supervisors and restaurant managers to bring Mama’s restaurants and bars to life. 

👨‍🍳 Kitchen & Stewarding 

From passionate chefs and pastry talents to kitchen porters and stewards, our kitchen team keeps the food coming and everything running smoothly behind the scenes. 

🧹 Housekeeping 

The team that makes sure Mama always looks and feels her best! From keeping our rooms spotless to making sure every detail is just right, our housekeeping team helps create a welcoming, comfortable stay for every guest. 

💼 Finance & Administration 

More of a number's person? We’ll also need talented people in accounting, financial control, purchasing, goods receiving and finance management. 

🔧 Engineering & Maintenance 

Our behind-the-scenes heroes! The team that keeps Mama running, solves problems and makes sure everything is in great shape. 

🎓 Internships 

Calling all future hospitality stars! Whether you’re looking for an operational or management internship, Mama wants to hear from you too! We’ll be welcoming interns across different departments, allowing you to learn, gain hands-on experience, and be part of opening a brand-new hotel. Whether your internship starts before our opening or later in 2027, we’d love to know you’re interested!

Right now, we’re mainly recruiting our management team and preparing for the rest of our recruitment journey.
