Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands Salary: €35k-€42k per annum Job Type: Full-time About Hagen Hagen is a premium speciality coffee brand, bringing exceptional coffee, quality and hospitality together. As we continue to grow, we're looking for an experienced and passionate General Manager to lead our Amsterdam team. The Role As General Manager, you'll take ownership of the day-to-day running of your coffee bar, ensuring everything runs smoothly while delivering the high standards Hagen is known for. You'll lead from the front, develop your team and create an environment where both customers and employees feel valued. Key Responsibilities Manage the day-to-day running of the bar. Lead the team and make sure everyone has the support they need. Make sure customers always receive friendly and consistent service. Keep on top of sales, targets and the overall performance of the bar. Maintain high standards of coffee, cleanliness and food safety. Manage stock, ordering and waste. Organise rotas and make sure the bar is properly staffed. Work with the Operations team on anything that needs improving. Support the team on the floor, especially during busy periods. Make sure the bar is a positive place to work for everyone. What We're Looking For Previous management experience in coffee, hospitality or a similar environment. Someone who enjoys working with people and has a genuine interest in coffee. Confident leading a team and dealing with the challenges that come with managing a busy bar. Good understanding of sales, staffing and day-to-day costs. Organised, approachable and reliable. Someone who is happy to be hands-on and help out wherever needed. Able to make decisions, handle problems and take responsibility. Good communication skills and a positive attitude. Fluent in English. Dutch would be a bonus. Core Responsibilities

Manage the coffee bar’s daily operations, including staffing, rotas, stock, ordering, waste, sales performance, cleanliness, and food safety. Lead and support the team on the floor, deliver consistent customer service, and work with the Operations team to improve the bar.

Requirements

Previous management experience in coffee, hospitality, or a similar environment is required, along with confidence leading a team and understanding sales, staffing, and day-to-day costs. Applicants should be organised, approachable, reliable, hands-on, able to make decisions and solve problems, and fluent in English; Dutch is a bonus.
