About Hoogwegt We are Hoogwegt. We are the world’s largest privately owned dairy ingredient provider, active in over 130 countries and managing an annual turnover of €4 billion. Operating at the heart of the global protein and commodity trading market, our financial, commercial, and operational success relies on smart risk management, robust credit strategies, and strong liquid capital. When you join Hoogwegt, you enter a highly professional, international treasury and credit environment. You will be part of our dynamic Group Finance community located at our modern, collaborative office in Arnhem, where financial precision directly powers a global supply chain network spanning multiple continents. About the Role As a Junior Credit Controller, you will play a pivotal role in managing our outstanding receivables and safeguarding our cash flow within a high-volume, global trading ecosystem. Working closely with senior credit professionals and under the mentorship of the Manager AR & AP, you will monitor outstanding balances, facilitate payment processing, and help prepare essential data for our Credit Committees. This is a dedicated development role designed for a sharp, analytical professional eager to transition from operational routines to strategic credit risk management. By building deep knowledge of our business units and credit insurance frameworks, you will rapidly develop the commercial intuition and sharp judgment needed to progress into a full Credit Controller and beyond within our global Finance team. What you will do Your main focus will be keeping the day-to-day receivables position clean, controlled, and current: Monitor outstanding accounts daily and coordinate structured follow-ups within Hoogwegt's credit framework, resolving operational overdues and escalating sensitive cases to the manager when needed. Assist in processing, booking, and reconciling incoming payments against open positions to ensure a real-time, accurate ledger. Work within established credit risk boundaries, build a strong understanding of credit insurance policies, and prepare key data overviews and cases for our Credit Committees. Deepen your knowledge of our Business Units, Supply Chain Financing, and netting arrangements, while participating in minor process-improvement initiatives within the Group Finance team. Who you are You are persistent, eager to learn, and looking to build a serious career in international credit risk. You thrive on structure but are excited to develop the commercial judgment that goes beyond standard checklists. Between 2 and 5 years of relevant experience in credit control, accounts receivable (AR), or a similar finance-support role. A completed HBO or MBO+ level education in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Solid knowledge of receivables processes, ERP systems, and data-handling. Fluency in Dutch and/or English combined with Spanish, German, or Polish. High accuracy, a persistent drive for follow-up, and the level-headedness to deal constructively with international trading dynamics. What we offer At Hoogwegt, we believe your career should be as dynamic as the market you work in. That's why we offer: An informal and open culture where you can be yourself. The freedom to shape your work in your own way. Plenty of room for personal growth and development, with training tailored to your role. A warm welcome from experienced and enthusiastic colleagues who will help you find your feet. Strong employment conditions, including attractive variable pay, a solid pension plan, generous leave, and collective insurance. A sports programme with bootcamp, running, or yoga under professional guidance A modern office directly opposite Arnhem Central Station, easy to reach by public transport. Our commitment to you At Hoogwegt, we believe that our strength lies in our differences. We are a global community that thrives on a diversity of perspectives, and we warmly welcome applications from people of all ages, genders, ethnicities, and backgrounds.
