AI Native Senior Developer – AI-Driven SaaS Product – Brainial – Utrecht / Hybrid – up to euro 90k. About the company Brainial is a scale-up that has built, and keeps scaling, a successful AI-driven SaaS product. Our international customer base is growing rapidly, and we are backed by solid investments: recently funded, with 10x growth expected in the next 3–5 years. The product gives knowledge workers a high degree of automation, so teams have much more time for human interaction. That leads to much more value creation within their organisations. One example of a valuable feature: filtering conflicting statements out of huge amounts of documents. For our clients, our AI SaaS product is a gamechanger. The enormous attention for AI has paid off, but we have been working on this vision since 2019, long before the AI hype. The role As a Senior Fullstack Developer you strengthen a tech team of Data Scientists, Product Owners, Designers, and Fullstack Developers. You'll join a fun, enthusiastic group that builds high-quality features in a fast-paced environment. You work across the whole stack: from Python services and data pipelines to the React interface where users interact with complex AI components. We aren't looking for someone who just picks up tickets. We need a senior engineer who leads by example, cares about the user experience, and enjoys helping less experienced developers grow. What you'll do Build and maintain backend services and APIs in Go and/or Python and FastAPI Build intuitive, responsive frontend features in React and TypeScript Make sure the user experience connects smoothly with complex AI components Spot what's broken or inefficient and fix it, or write a clear plan to fix it, document it and share it with the team Improve CI/CD pipelines, write solid tests and do meaningful code reviews Use AI tools as a core part of how you design, code, test and document Coach and mentor other developers, frontend and backend Suggest and introduce new tooling where it makes the team better Tech Stack: Go, Python, Pub / Sub event bus, PostgreSQL, Elastic Search, Pulumi and React. What you bring Extensive experience with commercial, production-running systems. You know what great software looks like and can move existing systems to that level. Proven seniority in one typed backend language (Python and/or Go), plus solid React and TypeScript. You write clear, simple code without over-complicating things. A strong understanding of software architecture and design principles. Hands-on experience with databases, search engines and cloud platforms, preferably GCP. A proactive "boy scout" mentality: you leave the code better than you found it, within the agreed estimates. A true can-do attitude. You don't just identify problems; you get energy from solving them quickly. An interest in AI and Machine Learning, specifically LLMs and ReRankers, and the drive to keep learning. The ability and desire to mentor engineers and share your expertise generously. Core Responsibilities

Requirements

Requires extensive experience with production systems, senior-level expertise in Go and/or Python, and solid React and TypeScript skills, along with strong software architecture and design knowledge. Candidates should have hands-on experience with databases, search engines, and cloud platforms, an interest in AI and machine learning, and the ability to proactively solve problems and mentor engineers.
