About WeGrow WeGrow is a Dutch e-commerce logistics company that gets online merchants’ parcels across Europe faster, cheaper and better than traditional carriers. We run a multi carrier European network with direct lines into markets like Italy and Spain, plus our own fulfilment operation in Vianen. The role You own everything technology at WeGrow, and you make AI the way the company works. This is not an IT support job. Your core job is the technical foundation: an architecture that scales, with servers, databases and security that hold when volumes double. On that foundation you build the AI that lets us double revenue without doubling headcount. You report to the General Manager and work daily with operations, account management, finance and sales. You start hands on: building, integrating and shipping yourself. As we grow, you build the team. What you will own Architecture and infrastructure: Design and run an architecture that scales with us: servers, cloud hosting, databases, monitoring, uptime and performance. Every system we run sits on a foundation you own and can explain. Security and IT: Own security end to end: access control, encryption, backups, disaster recovery, GDPR and incident response. Plus devices and accounts for the team. Keep it safe so nobody notices it. AI across the business: Find the processes that eat hours (billing checks, carrier reconciliation, quoting, customer service, reporting) and replace them with AI agents and automations that actually run in production. Internal tooling: Own and extend our AI native toolset: Odoo, Supabase, Google Workspace, Slack and the integrations between them. One source of truth, no copy pasting between systems. Customer portal: Lead the development of our customer portal and make it a reason clients choose and stay with WeGrow. APIs and integrations: Own our API and the connections with software platforms, webshops, marketplaces and carriers. Make WeGrow the easiest carrier network to plug into. Data: Build reliable data on volumes, costs, carrier performance and client profitability so management decides on numbers, not gut feel. Vendors and budget: Choose and manage software vendors and freelance developers. Negotiate hard and cut what does not deliver. How we measure success First 90 days: Map every system, integration and recurring manual process, ranked by hours lost and money at risk. Ship at least three AI automations that run daily in production and save measurable hours. Audit our architecture, servers, databases and security, fix the biggest risks first, and make sure nothing depends on one person’s laptop. First 12 months: Every team uses AI as standard in its daily work, with hours saved tracked per team. The customer portal is live and used by our clients. New clients connect through our API and integrations without developer time on our side. Management runs on one live dashboard for volumes, costs and margins. Who you are Deep understanding of architecture that scales: servers, cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure or GCP), databases and networking. Show us something you built that handles real load. Strong on security: access control, encryption, backups, disaster recovery and GDPR. Deep into AI: you build with LLMs, agents and automations every day, at work or in your own projects. What you built and how fast you move matter more than years on a CV. You build yourself. Python or TypeScript, APIs and SQL are tools you use, not words on a CV. You understand business first. You talk in hours saved and euros earned, not in frameworks. You take ownership. Nobody needs to chase you. Fluent English. Dutch is a plus. New to the job market? Apply anyway. Core Responsibilities

Own WeGrow’s technology strategy and infrastructure, including architecture, security, internal systems, APIs, data, and the customer portal. Build and deploy AI automations that improve business operations, while managing vendors and developing a technology team as the company grows.

Requirements

Demonstrated ability to build scalable cloud architecture and secure systems, and hands-on experience developing AI solutions, APIs, and automations using tools such as Python or TypeScript and SQL. The role also requires business-focused ownership, fluent English, and the ability to deliver measurable operational and financial results; Dutch and logistics or e-commerce experience are advantages.
