Job Description

About The Role As a driven All-round Marketing & Communications Specialist, you will be responsible for developing marketing and communication plans, initiating campaigns, and successfully delivering a wide range of activities. You will work closely with consultants, partners, the business, and the marketing team. You take initiative, bring structure, and know how to translate strategic objectives into concrete actions that make a visible impact. Are you excited about a role where you not only develop ideas but also bring them to life? Apply now Your role as Marketing & Communication Specialist As an All-round Marketing & Communications Specialist, you are the connecting link between the expertise of our consultants within People & Organization (P&O) and the market. You combine marketing and communications in a broad role where you both help shape the strategy and ensure strong execution. From campaigns and content to communication planning and stakeholder management, you make sure our expertise reaches and engages the right target audiences. You develop marketing and communication plans, align them with the business, and collaborate with the marketing team to successfully bring them to life. In doing so, you make an important contribution to the continued growth and positioning of Highberg P&O. You actively immerse yourself in our services and understand the work our consultants do on a daily basis. This allows you to identify which marketing and communication activities are needed to achieve our ambitions and makes you a valuable sparring partner for the business. More specifically, you will: Develop and oversee the marketing and communications strategy and translate it into concrete marketing plans and campaigns. Work closely with partners and consultants, supporting them with their marketing and communication activities. Manage and coordinate the marketing and communications calendar, keeping a close eye on priorities, deadlines and the content mix while aligning with relevant stakeholders. Turn expertise into market-ready content: you translate consultants’ ideas into compelling content, communications and campaigns tailored to the right target audiences and channels. Initiate, organize, coordinate and execute end-to-end campaigns in collaboration with the marketing team. Increase the visibility of our P&O expertise on LinkedIn and other relevant channels by focusing on reach, engagement and performance. Work daily with tools such as HubSpot, Google Search Console, LinkedIn Campaign Manager and/or Google Ads. Be part of a driven and enthusiastic marketing team where strategy and execution go hand in hand. Who are you? You are a team player who takes a proactive approach and can easily switch between strategy, communication and execution. You are curious about new developments in marketing and communications, open to feedback and use it to continuously improve yourself and your work. You reflect on your own approach, learn from experience and are willing to try out new ideas. You have a structured, hands-on mindset and feel comfortable in a varied role with plenty of responsibility and room to take initiative. You are strong in stakeholder management and know how to engage and inspire partners and consultants. You translate their expertise into effective marketing and communication activities that make an impact. You are AI-literate and able to use AI consciously, critically and responsibly to enhance your work. What do we ask? You have completed a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing, communications or a related field. You have at least 4 years of relevant B2B marketing experience, for example in a broad marketing and communications role. You have experience in developing and executing marketing campaigns, including content marketing, events, paid campaigns and SEO. You have a data-driven approach and know how to translate ideas into concrete plans and measurable results. You have excellent communication and copywriting skills, both written and spoken, in Dutch and English. A particular strength in areas such as marketing automation, CRO, CRM, creative/graphic design, copywriting or editing is a strong plus. You are flexible and willing to travel between our offices in Utrecht and Amsterdam. For this role, you will work at least one day per week at our Highberg office in Amsterdam and at least one day per week at our Utrecht office. What do we offer? Attractive and comprehensive employment conditions: a competitive gross monthly salary ranging from €4,500 to €5,200, excluding holiday allowance, with variable compensation aligned with the responsibility and impact of your role, complemented by paid leave, mobility options, and a pension scheme. The best of two worlds: the intellectual sharpness and quality of a high end consultancy firm, combined with the agility and engagement of an entrepreneurial organization. Responsibility, autonomy, and entrepreneurship: from the very start, you take ownership in projects and client work, with plenty of room to take initiative, supported by experienced colleagues. Collaborating in an accessible environment: you work in a setting where decision making is close to the action and ideas quickly gain traction. Flexible working with strong connection: hybrid working is possible, combined with regular moments where we come together for collaboration, knowledge sharing, and team activities such as inspiring sessions and the Highberg Festival!
