We are looking for some friendly people to join us in Amsterdam. We are Europe Retold Tours, an expansion of Birchys Berlin Tours, and are currently expanding into Amsterdam. We are looking for passionate local experts to help lead our authentic, story-driven experiences. Following the success of our award-winning Berlin tours and expansion into Hamburg, we are looking to expand into Amsterdam beginning with our Historic Pubs/ Cafes of Amsterdam and Local Beer Experience. Our goal is to showcase Amsterdam through the places, people, stories, food, and drinks that have shaped the city. Rather than simply visiting the major tourist sights, our tours focus on the character of the city its historic neighborhoods, and vibrant traditions. We work closely with local based guides and independent local businesses to create memorable experiences for international visitors and locals alike. As we grow our operation, there will be opportunities to become involved in additional experiences, including private tours, history tours, food and drink experiences, and other specialized products. Role Description We are looking for knowledgeable, engaging, and personable Tour Guides to join our expansion and lead our Historic Pubs/Cafes and Local Beer tour. This is an on-site, part-time role ideal for someone who loves the city, enjoys meeting people from around the world, and can bring history to life through storytelling. You don't need to be a professional historian. However, a very good understanding of the city and country's history is important. What also matters is your ability to tell great stories, connect with guests, and make the history of Amsterdam interesting, entertaining, and accessible. Key Responsibilities Lead the Historic Pubs of Amsterdam tour for small groups and private groups Share stories about the city's history, culture, neighborhoods, beer, traditional brewpubs, and local traditions Adapt your storytelling to different groups, ages, interests, and levels of historical knowledge Answer questions and encourage conversation and discussion Maintain a professional and friendly relationship with our partner pubs, cafes and businesses Ensure tours run smoothly and according to schedule Work collaboratively with other guides and members of the Europe Retold team Support private and customized tour bookings as the Amsterdam operation expands Qualifications Strong knowledge of history, culture, and neighborhoods Comfortable speaking to groups Friendly, outgoing, and confident personality Genuine enthusiasm for Amsterdam and its history Comfortable speaking with international visitors Able to work independently while also being part of a team Previous guiding, tourism, hospitality, or customer-service experience is a plus Knowledge of Amsterdam pubs, cafes, and local drinking culture is a plus Most importantly, you should enjoy history and the culture of the city, telling stories, and talking to people. Core Responsibilities

Lead small-group and private tours focused on Amsterdam's historic pubs, cafes, beer, neighborhoods, and traditions, using engaging stories tailored to guests. Coordinate with local business partners and the tour team, keep tours on schedule, answer questions, and support customized bookings.

Requirements

Candidates should have strong knowledge of Amsterdam's history, culture, and neighborhoods, and be confident, personable speakers who enjoy engaging with international visitors. Previous guiding, tourism, hospitality, or customer-service experience and knowledge of local pubs, cafes, and drinking culture are advantageous but not required.
