Director of Product Management
Key Skills
Job Description
About PaymentIQ PaymentIQ is a payment processing platform (SaaS) serving the online payments industry. We are a growing team of more than 100 people across Europe, operating in a fast-paced, security-conscious environment. About the Role PaymentIQ's payment products process hundreds of millions of transactions a year for merchants worldwide. We're looking for a Director of Product to own this product area end to end: set the direction, lead a small team of product managers, and be accountable for the value these products deliver to merchants and to the business. Key Responsibilities Own the strategy and roadmap for your product area, from discovery through delivery and iteration. Lead, coach and grow a team of product managers, with a high bar for quality and ownership. Be accountable for the commercial results of your products: adoption, performance and revenue. Partner with commercial teams on demos, upsell and new business, turning customer requests into scalable product decisions rather than one-off customisation. Work closely with engineering on feasibility, sequencing and trade-offs. Monitor product health (adoption, usage, error patterns, performance at scale) and drive improvements. Manage key external partners and stakeholders. Requirements 8+ years in product management, including 2+ years leading product managers, in payments or FinTech. A track record of owning high-volume, customer-facing payment products such as 3DS, tokens, API and Checkout Commercial instinct: comfortable owning results and talking to customers and partners. Strong grasp of payment flows and of working with payment providers. Data-driven prioritisation; able to say no and explain why. A hands-on leader who still writes specs and owns an initiative when needed. Curiosity about AI and automation in products and ways of working. Clear, structured communicator with leadership, engineering, commercial teams and customers. Why Join Us? • Standalone company, scale-up pace — decisions happen fast. • Real ownership — you shape the roadmap, not just execute tickets. • Global team, flat structure — direct access to engineering, commercial, and leadership.
