About with:in with:in is a journaling app for iOS and Android, built around one simple ritual: a new question every day, and 15 minutes to answer it in your own words. It’s not a mood tracker. It’s not a productivity tool. It doesn’t score you, optimise you or turn your inner life into charts. You open the app, the question is waiting, and you write: little fragments or whole pages. Once a week, the app reflects back what you’ve been writing about, so you can notice your own patterns. Behind the questions are real psychological frameworks: expressive writing, the practice of putting feelings into words to understand them, and principles from cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). We use AI, but in a controlled and ethical way. We’re exploring what human-centric AI can look like in something as personal as a journal. The app looks and feels more like a private notebook in a dark room than a wellness app. The brand is raw, intimate, tender and a little mysterious. It’s about the question, not the answer. We’re a two-founder studio in Amsterdam, and we’re launching publicly this December. We’re looking for a freelancer to shape and run our launch and post-launch marketing with us. Someone with a strong sense of creating and launching a brand. We don’t want to launch the way apps usually launch. We want something people feel part of: a community, a room, a ritual, not a funnel. What you’ll do — Build the launch and post-launch strategy, from now through early 2027 — Create and run content yourself (incl.short video content), working closely with our designer — Plan community moments, online and in real life (small evenings, physical objects, collaborations with writers and creators) — Find ways for people to share with:in that don’t feel like marketing — Run a small, careful paid budget where it makes sense Who we’re looking for — Experience with social media strategy and launching a product, ideally an app — Experience with events or physical brand activations — You write well. Our product is questions, so words matter as much as images — A strong sense of aesthetics, and an instinct for what’s real versus what’s performed — You’ve freelanced before. Core Responsibilities

Develop and execute the launch and post-launch marketing strategy through early 2027, including creating content and managing a small paid advertising budget. Plan community experiences and brand collaborations, and encourage organic sharing in ways that feel authentic rather than promotional.

Requirements

Candidates should have experience with social media strategy and product launches, ideally for an app, as well as experience with events or physical brand activations. Strong writing and aesthetic judgment, prior freelance experience, independent initiative, and a willingness to use and learn the app are expected; Dutch language skills and involvement in Amsterdam’s creative scene are bonuses.
