At Solvimon we're looking for Backend Engineers to work on our next-generation billing platform. About The Job As engineer at Solvimon, you design, build, ship and run features end to end: from the first request all the way to running and supporting it in production. If you like building cool stuff in complex systems, you'll have great fun. What You Do Build systems that turn billions of usage events into revenue. Calculate invoices for any pricing model customers come up with: tiers, commitments, credits, overrides, mid-cycle changes, etc. Everything a modern AI company or fintech needs to make money. Design and build integrations with payment providers, tax engines, e-invoicing networks, CRMs and ERPs. Ship to production regularly, and run what you ship. Pick up whatever blocks a customer, also when it isn't backend work. What It Takes We don't really mind how you like building things and what you build matters more than the tools you build it with. As long as you take ownership, move fast, and can make decisions without having the full picture, you'll fit right in. When dealing with customers' revenue, edge cases are important. Things like: retries, partial failures, users doing what you didn't expect. You're AI-native. We don't token-maxx but you can still use whatever you need to get the job done. You do well in a startup or other low-process, high-ownership environment. You like being around other people, and work from our Utrecht office at least 4 days a week, preferably 5. Experience helps; we don't require it. Tools are a means to an end. How We Hire Intro call, 30 minutes. Take-home case: a small problem from our domain. Case review with two of our engineers where you walk us through your decisions and we discuss them. In the case we look at correctness under load and failure and the business decisions you made. Core Responsibilities

Build and operate backend features for a billing platform, including processing usage events, calculating invoices across complex pricing models, and integrating with payment, tax, e-invoicing, CRM, and ERP systems. Ship and support production software, handling customer needs, edge cases, retries, and partial failures.

Requirements

The role emphasizes ownership, fast decision-making with incomplete information, attention to edge cases, and comfort in a startup environment. Candidates should be AI-native and willing to work from the Utrecht office at least four days per week; specific tools and years of experience are not required.
