Senior Global Social Strategist – Facebook Organic (f/m/d)
Key Skills
Job Description
AHOY MATE!
Founded in 2011, the HolidayPirates Group has been making waves in the travel world ever since!
To achieve our mission of delivering the best travel deals, we want to attract talented people from all over the world.
That’s why our pirates can work all across Europe - Germany, France, the Netherlands, Italy, Spain, the UK, Poland and the US. Whether it’s fully remote or enjoying regular workations and flexible hours, we make your job fit your life (not the other way around!)
MISSION AT HAND
As the world’s favorite travel community, we’re growing fast. You’ll steer our Facebook fleet: one global strategy for all markets, built on data and on where the platform is heading.
Your first 6 months
Audit and benchmark all market Facebook pages
Take over the Facebook strategy and KPI framework
Run your first cross-market growth tests and share what you learn
Lead the first monthly reviews with the market social managers
DUTIES ON DECK
Strategy:
Define where we stand on Facebook and why. Set how the platform is used across markets: purpose, posting frequency, post types (Reels, Stories, link posts, carousels, Groups, broadcast channels), brand voice and community management guidelines.
Turn business objectives into Facebook OKRs and targets that market teams can actually aim at
Growth:
Optimise for the algorithm. Adopt new features and formats early.
Hunt trends proactively, start tests, align with markets, and document and report the results
Data:
Own Facebook analytics and reporting: UTM parameters, tagging, and dashboards that let markets draw their own learnings
Find the patterns in what works and what doesn’t. Collect learnings from every market and turn them into clear, data-backed recommendations.
Content:
Define what a strong Facebook post looks like (hooks, captions, formats, link strategy) and write the guidelines behind it together with our content team
Give strategic input on creative and copy for campaigns so they support channel and business goals
Collaboration:
Be the go-to person for Facebook and run regular reviews with the market teams
Facilitate regular cross-market meetings and monthly strategic reviews with market social managers and leads, and agree on clear next steps
Troubleshooting:
Handle escalations: flags, reports, appeals, suspensions and their documentation. Co-manage the Meta partner relationship.
Tools & docs:
Own the Facebook tool stack (e.g. Fanpage Karma, Meta Business Suite): evaluate, choose and roll out tools that help markets and the global team work efficiently
YOUR TREASURE OF EXPERIENCE
5+ years growing organic reach on Facebook, ideally across several markets
Experience owning a channel strategy end to end, from KPI framework to execution guidelines
Strong analytical skills: GA4, Looker Studio, Excel/Sheets, UTM and tagging logic
AI curiosity: you use AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude) to sharpen your ideas and work more efficiently
High Social Media affinity and interest
Know your way around Meta Business Suite; Fanpage Karma is a plus
proactive, hands-on, and you like to test and learn
Excellent communication and facilitation skills; you’re comfortable running meetings with market leads
Fluent in English; another language from one of our markets is a plus
