At Kuehne+Nagel, your contribution goes far beyond the warehouse—it helps shape the flow of global trade. ‎ For our warehouse in Veghel, of approximately 25 employees, we are looking for an Operations Manager who enjoys being close to the shop floor and plays a key role in strengthening operational performance and continuous improvement. How you create impact In this role, you are accountable for leading the daily warehouse operation, developing your team, and continuously improving processes to ensure a safe, efficient, and high-performing operation. Manage and continuously optimize daily warehouse operations with a focus on safety, quality, productivity, cost, and throughput. Lead, coach, and develop a team of approximately 25 warehouse employees. Drive and embed a Lean and continuous improvement culture, including daily performance stand-ups and structured problem-solving. Identify, initiate, and implement improvement actions to enhance operational performance. Monitor operational KPIs and translate results into clear actions and performance insights. Ensure logistics activities are executed in line with customer agreements and operational standards. Work closely with the Site Manager and the local management team to ensure a stable and high-performing operation. What we would like you to bring Bachelor’s (HBO) level or equivalent experience. A proven first successful experience in a warehouse or logistics environment. Demonstrated knowledge of continuous improvement and Lean principles, such as performance stand-ups, standard work, and basic problem-solving methods. Strong interest in people management and operational excellence. Hands-on, proactive, and eager to further develop leadership skills. Analytical mindset with the ability to work with performance data and KPIs. You are fluent in both Dutch and English. Core Responsibilities

Lead and optimize daily warehouse operations, ensuring safety, quality, productivity, cost control, and throughput while managing and developing a team of approximately 25 employees. Embed Lean and continuous improvement practices, monitor KPIs, implement performance improvements, and coordinate with the Site Manager and local management team.

Requirements

Requires bachelor’s (HBO) level or equivalent experience and a successful initial experience in a warehouse or logistics environment. Candidates should understand Lean and continuous improvement, be analytical and proactive, have an interest in people leadership, and be fluent in Dutch and English.
