Job Description 32-40hours We are looking for a Technical Manager whose responsibility will be to ensure the quality of our cosmetic and general formulated products and processes. Together with the Quality team, including the Head of Quality, Technical Managers and Technologists, you will work closely with colleagues from Product Management and our team in China. You will ensure that our products comply with legal requirements and follow developments in laws and regulations within the product groups in which Karsten International is active. In addition, you will optimise quality processes, perform risk analyses and advise your colleagues. Your responsibilities: Assessing items for safety and compliance with legislation, with particular responsibility for Cosmetics and formulated products. Maintaining technical files and keeping your knowledge of legislation up to date while sharing it with colleagues. Working with suppliers and evaluating factories’ social compliance and environmental requirements. Handling customer complaints, authority requests and recalls. Analysing and improving internal processes, including setting up and implementing quality processes. Leading, training and supporting junior members of the team. Job Requirements Who we are looking for 5+ years experience in quality assurance or in a similar environment or a lab. A bachelors degree in a related subject. Excellent knowledge of EU legislation for nonfood items. You have preferably experience with customers portals such as impact buying (i.e. SIM, TÜV, Amfori etc.) Experience BRC or management systems. Experience setting up and implementing quality processes. Previous experience in product-safety legislation. Core Responsibilities

Ensure the safety, quality, and legal compliance of cosmetic and formulated products by assessing items, maintaining technical files, monitoring regulatory developments, and working with suppliers and factories. Handle complaints, authority requests, and recalls; improve quality processes through risk analysis; and lead, train, and support junior team members.

Requirements

Candidates need at least five years of quality assurance or related laboratory experience, a bachelor's degree in a related subject, and excellent knowledge of EU legislation for non-food products. Experience with product-safety legislation, implementing quality processes, BRC or management systems, and customer portals such as Impact Buying, SIM, TÜV, or Amfori is sought, with portal experience described as preferred.
