Job Description
About us Vestacy is a standalone company (carved out from Reckitt) with a clear purpose: to transform houses into homes. We’re home to some of the world’s most trusted brands (Air Wick, Calgon, Cillit Bang, and Mortein) helping millions of people care for the spaces they live in every day. Backed by Advent, a leading global private equity firm, we have the freedom to think big and move fast. With almost 3,000 colleagues across 20+ countries, we see every person as a Founder, empowered to make bold decisions and shape what’s next. We care for our company the way you care for your own home: with energy, passion, and pride. Here, you’ll find space to grow, opportunities to lead, and the support to thrive. Together, we’re building something extraordinary. About the Transformation Team Our Transformation team develop and deliver a clear transformation agenda, aligned to our strategic goals. We love driving strategic change that adapts to and embraces market dynamics, while always focusing on enhancing Vestacy's agility and reputation. We work across all areas of our global business to seek out the opportunity to streamline, simplify, eliminate inefficiencies, and enhance productivity. We're proud to be architects of change, orchestrating shifts that propel Vestacy towards resilience, innovation and sustained growth. About the role As we build Vestacy as a standalone company, we have a rare opportunity to redesign processes, data foundations and ways of working from the ground up, with AI embedded from the start. This environment combines the scale and complexity of a global business with the pace and direct access of a private-equitybacked transformation. Decision paths are short, priorities are explicit and successful ideas can move quickly from business need to implementation. We are looking for a hands-on AI transformation professional who can thrive in that setting: someone able to understand a business domain quickly, identify where AI can create measurable value, and personally build and iterate solutions while mobilising specialist support when greater depth or scale is required. Reporting to the AI Transformation Director, you will own selected AI initiatives end-to-end, from discovery and value case through prototyping, development, deployment, adoption and benefits tracking. This is not a purely strategic, projectmanagement or coordination role. You will be expected to write code, work directly with data and AI services, and turn ideas into usable solutions Your responsibilities Understand the business and shape valuable use cases Partner with functional teams to understand their processes, pain points, decisions and value drivers, and identify where AI can materially improve outcomes. Turn ambiguous needs into clear use cases, user journeys, requirements, solution options and testable hypotheses. Build proportionate business cases covering value, cost, feasibility, risk, adoption needs and time-to-impact. Translate technical choices into commercial and operational implications for senior stakeholders. Build and deliver AI solutions Personally prototype and develop AI-enabled applications, agents, automations and analytical solutions using code, APIs, data and cloud services. Work across the delivery lifecycle: data exploration, prompt and workflow design, application logic, integrations, testing, evaluation, deployment and iteration. Design pragmatic solutions across user experience, application, model, data and integration layers, reusing enterprise platforms and components where appropriate. Apply sound software-engineering practices, including version control, documentation, testing, code review, security and maintainability. Assess data quality, model limitations, reliability, privacy, security and human-oversight needs before solutions are scaled Own the product and delivery outcome Lead selected initiatives from discovery through pilot, production handover, adoption and benefits tracking. Define product scope, priorities, success measures and releases with business owners and users. Coordinate AI Leads, Product and Platform specialists, data teams, IT&D, freelancers and vendors as required, while remaining accountable for the overall outcome. Work closely with senior stakeholders including the CTO, CDIO, functional leaders and Advent International’s Portfolio Support Group. Make day-to-day delivery decisions within agreed scope and guardrails, and escalate material investment, architecture, risk or portfolio decisions. Ensure solutions are integrated into real workflows with clear ownership, support and operational controls. Build capability and adoption Facilitate discovery, design and prioritisation workshops with business and technical teams. Explain AI opportunities, limitations and trade-offs in clear business language. Drive user testing and adoption, using feedback and outcome data to improve the product. Create reusable patterns, documentation and practical standards that help Vestacy deliver AI faster and retain internal knowledge. What Success Looks Like Priority use cases move from business problem to working production solution with pace and clear accountability. Prototypes generate evidence quickly, while successful solutions are engineered and operated to an appropriate production standard. Business stakeholders understand the value, limitations and changes required, and users adopt the solutions in their daily work. Vestacy develops reusable technology patterns, delivery methods and internal knowledge rather than depending on individual external resources. Deployed solutions achieve agreed user, operational and financial outcomes The experience we're looking for Experience Typically 6+ years of relevant experience across AI engineering, data science, software engineering, forward-deployed engineering, technology consulting or digital transformation. A track record of personally building and deploying data, machine-learning or AI solutions, not only managing teams or producing strategy. Experience taking solutions from an unclear business problem through prototype and implementation, with evidence of user, operational or financial impact. Experience working directly with business stakeholders as well as product, data, engineering and platform teams. Practical experience with generative AI, LLM applications, retrieval-augmented generation or agentic workflows. Technical capability Strong hands-on programming ability, preferably in Python, plus the ability to work with SQL, APIs, Git and modern cloud development environments. Ability to build AI applications that combine models, business logic, data sources, tools and user interfaces. Working knowledge of data pipelines, retrieval, evaluation, observability, testing and deployment patterns for reliable AI solutions. Ability to reason across application, model, data, integration, security and operational architecture, and to recognise when specialist depth is required. Understanding of model limitations, hallucination and prompt-injection risks, human-in-the-loop controls, privacy, responsible AI and enterprise security. Business and delivery capability Learns unfamiliar business domains quickly and asks the right questions to understand processes, economics, users and constraints. Strong problem-framing and commercial judgement, connecting solutions to revenue, margin, productivity, working capital, service or risk outcomes. Product mindset, including user discovery, prioritisation, experimentation, success measures and adoption. Comfort operating in ambiguity, moving between strategic context and detailed execution without waiting for perfect information. Clear communication and confident collaboration with both senior business stakeholders and technical specialists. Comfort working in a high-accountability, private-equity-backed environment where priorities move quickly, decisions are made with limited bureaucracy and delivery commitments are visible to senior stakeholders. What we offer We believe great work deserves great rewards. That’s why we offer numerous local benefits and global benefits designed to help you grow and thrive, such as career mobility opportunities, a referral program, access to our online learning academy, mental wellbeing support, and short-term bonus incentives. Joining our Netherlands HQ, we can offer you these local benefits: Permanent/indefinite contract Flexible hybrid working model (3 office days & 2 days at home, with flexibility to choose which weekdays are spent at the office + working hours outside of core hours: 10AM-4PM) Car allowance (€ 1000 gross per month) Daily € 5 meal voucher (to be used at one of our three main restaurants) 25 holidays + 1 wellbeing day + 3 bridging days + national holidays + 2 volunteering days per year Work abroad remotely up to 4 weeks per year in any country of your choosing One-time working-from-home office-set up budget Generous parental policy (fully paid 26 weeks maternity & 6 weeks paternity leave) Why Join Vestacy as the AI Transformation Manager Combine business transformation, product ownership and hands-on AI development in one high-impact role. Work across material use cases in Supply Chain, Commercial, Marketing, R&D and enterprise functions. Build AI solutions intended for real use and measurable value, not isolated demonstrations. Work directly with senior leaders and develop toward broader AI transformation leadership Equality We believe the best teams are built like great homes: on strong foundations and room to grow. That’s why we hire for potential as well as experience. If you resonate with our purpose, we encourage you to apply, even if you don’t tick every box.
