Role Description As a Servicemonteur Zonnepanelen (m/v/x), you will perform on-site service, maintenance, and repair work on residential and commercial solar panel installations. This full-time role includes diagnosing technical issues, inspecting systems for safety and performance, and replacing or repairing components such as inverters, wiring, and mounting structures. You will conduct routine preventive maintenance, document all work performed, and provide clear explanations to customers about system status and any required follow-up. Collaborating with the operations and customer support teams, you will help schedule visits, report recurring issues, and contribute feedback to improve service processes. The role requires adherence to all safety regulations and company procedures while working at heights, on rooftops, and in varying weather conditions. Qualifications Technical skills in electrical or solar PV systems, including experience with installation, troubleshooting, and repair of solar panels and related equipment. Practical experience working safely at heights and on rooftops, with strong understanding of safety standards, PPE usage, and local electrical codes. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring schematics, and manufacturer documentation for solar and energy systems. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to diagnose issues efficiently and propose effective solutions. Clear, customer-oriented communication skills in English (and Dutch or Spanish is a plus), able to explain technical matters in an accessible way. Capability to work independently on-site, manage a daily schedule, and accurately document service visits in digital systems or apps. Previous experience in solar, electrical, HVAC, or related trades is strongly preferred; vocational training or certification in electrical or renewable energy fields is an advantage.
