As a Mechanical Engineer, you work on technical challenges across different phases of the engineering process, from concept and design to realization and optimization. Depending on the project, your role can vary from design-focused to more geared towards production, analysis, or improvement. You collaborate with other disciplines, such as software, electrical, and production, and contribute to solutions that are technically sound and practically feasible. Possible Tasks Designing and/or improving mechanical components and systems Modeling and developing constructions in 3D CAD Preparing technical drawings and documentation Analyzing constructions (e.g., strength, tolerances, manufacturability) Guiding prototypes, tests, and validations Supporting industrialization and production processes Identifying and implementing improvements in design or process Aligning with stakeholders such as suppliers, production, and project teams The scope of your role depends on the project and your development path. Design and improve mechanical components and systems, develop 3D models and technical documentation, and analyze designs for strength, tolerances, and manufacturability. Support prototypes, testing, production, and process improvements while coordinating with suppliers, production teams, project teams, and other engineering disciplines.
