Operating with a Design & Build–led approach, Streamline Capital Projects supports clients from early concept through to turnkey delivery. In 2026, the acquisition of Studio Duffy – Architecture + Interiors expanded the group’s in-house architectural and interior design capabilities, enabling a fully integrated design and delivery service for clients. Role Description The Civil Site Engineer will work on capital projects in and around Amsterdam, overseeing day-to-day site activities, monitoring construction progress, and coordinating with multidisciplinary design and project management teams. This contract role involves supervising civil and structural works, conducting site inspections, supporting quality control procedures, and ensuring adherence to safety, regulatory, and sustainability standards. The engineer will review drawings and specifications, provide technical guidance to contractors, and assist in resolving site-based engineering issues. As a hybrid role, the position is primarily based on site in Amsterdam, with flexibility for some work-from-home tasks such as documentation, reporting, and coordination meetings. Qualifications On-site supervision and civil engineering expertise, including experience working On Site and as part of multidisciplinary teams of Civil Engineers. Strong technical foundation in Structural Engineering, with the ability to interpret engineering designs, drawings, and specifications. Effective Communication skills, including clear reporting, stakeholder coordination, and collaboration with contractors and design professionals. Quality Control capabilities, with experience implementing inspection plans, documenting findings, and supporting compliance with standards and regulations. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience. Knowledge of relevant European building codes and regulations; experience in life sciences, healthcare, industrial, or commercial projects is an advantage. Proficiency with common civil/structural engineering software and basic CAD tools; familiarity with project management or BIM platforms is beneficial. Ability to work safely, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to a hybrid work environment combining site presence and remote tasks.

Core Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day site activities in and around Amsterdam, monitor construction progress, and supervise civil and structural works. Conduct inspections, support quality control, review drawings and specifications, coordinate with project teams and contractors, and help resolve site engineering issues while ensuring safety, regulatory, and sustainability compliance.

Requirements

A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience, is required, along with on-site civil engineering experience and a strong foundation in structural engineering. Candidates should be able to interpret designs and specifications, communicate and coordinate effectively, support quality control, understand relevant European codes and regulations, and use common civil/structural software and basic CAD tools.
