Job Description

Business Consultant Data Sourcing (Mergers & Integrations) - Finance & Risk Location: Amsterdam Zuidoost (hybrid, office days Monday and Thursday) Hours: 36 hours per week Start date: November 2026 or early January 2027 End date: 30 June 2027, with a possible extension Salary: € 6,500 - € 7,000 gross per month based on 36 hours (excluding holiday allowance) Do you want to be the go-to person when a large bank integrates new entities, making sure their data reaches Finance and Risk on time and in the right shape? For a large Dutch bank, we are looking for a Business Consultant for the Finance & Risk Data Sourcing team. Within this team, a new Mergers & Integrations team was set up at the start of this year. It currently consists of one person, while eight to nine integrations are running at the same time. You strengthen the team and take ownership of one or more initiatives straight away. The core of the work: each entity knows its own data well, but has to translate it to the bank's data model, so Finance and Risk can use it for their reporting. You bridge the gap between the data domain and the entity. What will you do? Your activities include: Acting as the data domain's single point of contact towards one or more entities. Drawing up roadmaps and plans for the entities' data deliveries. Following up and chasing milestones, on both sides. Collecting the knowledge needed within the data domain, and giving feedback after each data delivery. Helping to map entity data to the bank's data model. Prioritising when capacity is tight on both sides: deciding quickly and clearly what can and cannot be done. Aligning with managers and programme managers of the integration programmes, and internally with Reporting, Financial Risk and the Basel chain. This is not a hands-on data building role: you do not build data yourself, but make sure the right data comes in on time and in the right shape. What do you bring? You are a mix of business analyst and project manager: a consultant who understands which data mappings are needed, while keeping a sharp eye on timelines and priorities. You communicate well and easily reach out to people, also outside your own organisation. You also bring: Extensive experience as a senior business analyst, business consultant or project manager within a bank or other financial institution. Experience with data sourcing, data integration or data migration in a complex organisation. Experience drawing up roadmaps and monitoring plans and milestones. Strong stakeholder management towards managers, programme managers and data consumers. Excellent command of English. Nice to have Experience mapping data from entities or source systems to a central data model. Knowledge of credit risk reporting or the Basel chain. Experience with mergers, acquisitions or entity integrations. Command of Dutch. Experience with roadmaps in PowerPoint or think-cell. In this assignment, you are the face of the data domain towards new parts of a large bank. You work on visible initiatives with real impact, in a small team where your contribution makes a direct difference. Does this sound like you? Send your CV and availability to [email protected] and I will get in touch with you soon.

Core Responsibilities

Serve as the data domain’s point of contact for integrating entities, planning and tracking data deliveries, and helping map entity data to the bank’s central data model. Coordinate priorities and requirements with programme managers, managers, Reporting, Financial Risk, and the Basel chain to ensure data arrives on time and in the required format.

Requirements

Requires extensive senior experience as a business analyst, business consultant, or project manager in a bank or other financial institution, including data sourcing, integration, or migration in a complex organization. Candidates should be skilled in roadmap planning, milestone monitoring, stakeholder management, and English communication; experience with entity integrations, central data models, credit risk reporting, Dutch, or PowerPoint/think-cell roadmaps is advantageous.
