Job Description

At Vision Intelligence we build software that lets cameras understand what they see. The AI runs on the camera itself, not in the cloud, so footage never has to leave the building. Enterprise customers use our platform for fall detection in healthcare, construction-site security, logistics, airports, municipalities, manufacturing and retail. Writing code is no longer what slows us down: AI agents write almost all of it. The hard parts are deciding what to build and checking that what gets built is right. Right now one person designs and specifies more than 80% of the work. We're looking for the second. As AI Platform Architect, you take a one-line item from the board or a customer problem and turn it into working software in production. You work out what the real problem is, write a spec that a person or an agent can build from without asking questions, direct agents to build it, and test the result on real footage and real cameras. You do this across all five of our products. One week you're working on code that runs on a camera; the next it's a Blazor screen or a model-training pipeline. You'll be doing this well when vague ideas regularly turn into clear specs, verified features and smooth releases. You'll also be able to explain why a piece of generated code is right or wrong. You join a senior team of five, four of them technical, and work directly with our CTO and product owner. Our ambition is to become Europe's market leader in Edge AI. Responsibilities Turn one-line ideas and customer problems into concrete work: define the real problem, what's out of scope, and when it's done Write clear, unambiguous specs that people and AI agents can build from without needing to ask anything Direct AI coding agents and check their output critically, using tests on real footage, a physical test camera and recorded pipeline runs Design and build generic platform concepts that work across industries, not one-off solutions for a single customer Work across the whole stack and all products: VI Edge (AOT-compiled runtime on cameras and GPU servers), VI Operate (device management on Azure), VI Studio (Blazor WebAssembly portal), VI Configure (MAUI installer app) and VI TrainConvert (model training and conversion) Handle real-world limits such as fixed memory budgets on cameras, model performance on edge chips, and behaviour questions like "when is it actually a fall?" Own your work from spec through PR, review, merge and rollout to test and customer cameras Work regularly with customers and the product owner, turning direction and priorities into buildable plans Help solve production issues when they come up, starting each fix with a failing test on real data Help bring in new technology as soon as it adds value, alongside the CTO Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree level (HBO/WO) in education or in working and thinking level Around 10 years of experience with C#/.NET Experience designing and implementing generic concepts in a platform used across several industries Able to work from a vague idea without waiting for a fully worked-out assignment Comfortable working across every layer of the stack rather than staying in one Strong written specification skills, and a habit of checking generated code instead of accepting it as is Fluent in Dutch and English, spoken and written (Dutch is our working language) Nice to have Computer vision and model training (YOLO, ONNX) Software for low-memory devices: AOT, native interop, Linux ASP.NET, Blazor, Azure, Docker, MQTT Able to read Python and pipeline YAML well enough to judge what an agent did there What we offer €5,000–€7,500 gross per month (based on 40 hours), for 32–36 hours per week Hybrid working: usually 1–2 days a week at our Delft office, a short walk from Delft Central Station, with free parking 25 vacation days plus public holidays Conferences such as Techorama, and support for certifications An early seat at a fast-growing company, with lots of room to grow in technology and in the organisation Hiring process An introductory call with Kees and Jeroen A roughly two-hour assignment: you get one line from our board with no spec, write the spec, have an agent build it, and then we discuss it together A conversation about terms of employment

Core Responsibilities

Translate customer problems and high-level ideas into clear specifications, direct AI coding agents, and verify their output using real footage, cameras, and pipeline runs. Design and build reusable platform features across all products, owning work from specification through release and helping resolve production issues.

Requirements

The role requires around 10 years of C#/.NET experience, experience designing generic platform concepts for multiple industries, and the ability to work independently across the full technology stack. Strong written specification skills and critical review of generated code are required; a bachelor's or master's degree level of education or equivalent working and thinking level is specified, along with fluency in Dutch and English.

Benefits

  • Hybrid Working
  • 25 Vacation Days Plus Public Holidays
  • Conference Attendance
  • Certification Support
  • Career Growth Opportunities
