Product Marketing Intern (Medical Applications) – SunLED Life Science Research B.V. At SunLED Life Science, we harness the power of near-infrared (NIR) light to transform indoor environments and improve human health. Building on our consumer and wellness innovations, we are now developing medical applications of near infrared light, and we are looking for a curious, analytical product marketing intern to help shape how these products reach clinicians and patients. You will work at the front end of medical product development: understanding the market, benchmarking competitors, building the business case and turning scientific evidence into compelling value propositions. If you want to see how a health-tech innovator takes an idea from the lab towards the clinic, this is your chance. Location & Type: Amsterdam, Internship Duration: Ideally 6 months or longer, flexible Working hours: 32-40 hours per week Start date: Jan/Feb 2027 Your role and responsibilities You will join SunLED’s product management team, where you will support the positioning, definition and introduction of NIR-based medical applications. You will combine market research, competitive analysis and business thinking to help decide which concepts to pursue and how to bring them to market. We are open to AI technology, and you will have the freedom to explore how AI can make your work better. You will: Analyse the medical market: map target indications, patient groups, care pathways and key stakeholders such as clinicians, patients, parents and payers. Benchmark competitors and alternatives: compare existing treatments and devices on evidence, pricing, positioning and channel, and run SWOT analyses. Build value propositions: develop Value Proposition Canvases for each stakeholder and translate clinical and scientific evidence into clear, compliant claims. Support on mapping the customer journey: help us to chart how a product is discovered, prescribed, used at home and followed up, and find the friction points. Support the business case: gather inputs on market size, pricing, reimbursement and cost of goods, and help build the financial outlook. Compare markets for entry: support research on regulatory routes, reimbursement and commercial potential across target countries. Prepare product introduction material: create presentations, product sheets and partner pitch decks for management, partners and investors. Support events and campaigns: help organise trade shows, congresses and internal events, and support digital campaigns (for example on LinkedIn and Google). Explore AI tools: test how AI can speed up research, analysis and content creation in daily work. What you bring Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's programme in Marketing, Business, Strategic Product Design, Health Sciences, Biomedical Engineering or a related field. A genuine interest in healthcare, medical devices or health technology. Strong analytical skills: you are comfortable with market data, structuring a business case and drawing clear conclusions. Strong communication skills: you can turn complex scientific information into simple, convincing messages. Experience with product management, market research or campaign management, through study projects, previous internships or side projects. Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience with creative tools is a plus. A passion for AI tools and new ways of working. High fluency in English is a must; fluency in Dutch or Chinese is a plus. Nice to have: experience in healthcare or medical marketing, such as communicating with clinicians or patients, medical congresses, or turning clinical evidence into marketing material. What we offer Real impact: hands-on work on medical applications at an early stage, where your analysis directly shapes product decisions. A dynamic, young organisation full of ambition to make the world a better place. A relaxed working culture: we value good coffee and have regular fun activities. A multicultural environment: a growing team of about 20 people with roots in 8 countries. A great location: our office is at Amsterdam Science Park, a 5-minute walk from the train station. Personal growth: coaching and training to help you develop your skills. Reward: an internship allowance. How to apply Apply via the LinkedIn “Apply” button. About SunLED Life Science

Company size: 11-50 employees

SunLED Life Science is an Amsterdam-based research team developing health and wellness technologies that harness the power of near-infrared light. Today, most of us spend 90% of our waking hours indoors, missing out on the vital benefits of natural sunlight. We address this deficiency creating technologies with near-infrared light - a crucial component of sunlight. The benefits include improved mood, reduced drowsiness on the road and at the workplace, better immune system function and more. And this is just the beginning. Our ongoing research explores how near-infrared light benefits the human body through photobiomodulation therapy (PBM), unlocking even more potential. SunLED can be seamlessly integrated into various applications, from screens and lighting fixtures to car dashboards (DMS systems) and more. Let’s bring the sun inside together!
